      Just changning the address was not enough.
      I had to go through 'Your Account' on top right corner > Manage Your Kindle
      Then click on 'Country Settings' on the left and change the country to Australia.
      After that, I was able to download the free Amazon apps from both US and Australian store.

    Hi kspec,

    After you change your 1 click address to your Australian address, make sure the credit card for this account also has your Australian address associated with it, then you should be able to shop the Australian Appstore.

    FYI, some comments for Gravity Guy:

    This game costs $1.00 already. It also has in-app purchases to squeeze even more money from your wallet. As if that weren't enough, they also filled this PAYED GAME with ADDS!!! What were they thinking?! Don't bother with this game. Teach the developers a lesson by not letting them get away with this ridiculous cash-grab

    after reading openfeint and ads on a paid game I realize its not an actual paid app and am directly uninstalling it

    Odd, They show as free on my wifes amazon account. Bought a few but they dont show on the device (kindle fire HD).

    As far as i know she has never used the australian store yet the games show on there as free and compatible with her kindle.

        Hi Lee,
        I have just filled out the contact form.

        It is probably something to do with not having changed the account to work with the AU store but i would have thought i couldn't "buy" from the AU store without having done that.

      To check that the Australian store is now your default store for digital content, go into 'Manage My Kindle' and click on the country settings and make sure that Australia is selected.
