Lexar CT25664BA1339 Crucial 2GB DIMM DDR3 1333MHz Desktop Memory $2 @ The Good Guys

1140

I was looking to increase my desktop memory and found this deal, similar modules are around $34. Not sure how many they have in stock, ordered few extra ;). Pickup is available in some stores or delivery around $9.

Update 5:30PM: "This product is not available for sale online. It may still be available in store but some products are not available in all stores."

Update: got an email "Good news! Your order is on the way", 79% of sticks ordered are on the way, the rest Backordered

Looks like it is out of stock, there are other memory modules available but not as cheap. Good luck to all who ordered.

Got another email and a call that my last 3 modules are on the way

  • i'm guessing it is a pricing error

    • hope not but I'll find out soon. Chances are good:
      1 it says clearance
2 I already got confirmation email that my order has been received and is now being progressed.

      • +1

yeah, i hope so too. the 4gb desktop modules are $26 (i searched for ddr3)

        • Just bought 2x 4gb. 8gb for $52 is still a steal! (around $90 @ MSY)

        • Did a search & no results for 4GB module. They removed it? Would've preferred the 4gb over the 2gb. Oh well its gonna have to be 2gbx2gb dual channel config then.

        • all gone. no results for ddr3 now

  • thanks op, ordered 8GB. hope they deliver

  • sweet hope they process mine. always good to have some extra gee beez lying around :)

    • +3

why not download more ram =)

  • +1

Bought 8GB. Cheapest one in MSY is $24 each

    • Same here!

      • +32

I guess you guys are the world's cheapest hitmen.

        • +7

          They paid the silicon price

        • Ironically, with the extra memory, they wouldn't be able to forget killing their victims.

        • cheapest

If only. DDR2 is so much more expensive than DDR3!

  • I get "This product is not available for sale online. It may still be available in store but some products are not available in all stores."

    I smell $40 vouchers!

  • Not available any more online?

Change the URL "www.thegoodguys" to "m.thegoodguys" (enter mobile site)
It let me checkout and I have an order confirmation! (YMMV)

    • +2

      haha nice work. :) thanks

    • +1

Yes, it works this way. Also shipping charge is $7 instead of $9.

    • +1

and it also calculated cheaper s&h costs using the mobile site($7 instead of $9) Bought 8gb, you can never have enough ram

    • +1

That worked for me! Ordered 4 DIMMs for $8 plus $7 postage.
Paypal payment was accepted and I received an Order Confirmation email.

    • +2

Thanks :) Managed to get 4 sticks using this trick. Would not display stores for pickup so I had to get it shipped. $7 shipping and $8 for 4 sticks. Still a good deal.

    • +3

      Just sharing the love/bargain ;]

      • i keep getting Page cannot be diplayed :(
going mad dont know what im doing wrong

        • +1

Not just you mate; the mobile page doesn't work for me either now

        • +1

The desktop page is working for me, but the mobile page isn't.

  • +1

Thanks, I ordered one - pick up at store. Not even sure whether DDR3 is compatible with my computer.

    • +3

      Thanks, i ordered one too
Not even sure if my computer is compatible with Ram

      • +12

Bought one, not sure if I even own a computer.

        • +1

Bought one too, not even sure what is RAM.

        • +1

You can always pay with them to kill someone through those cheap hitmen ;)

    • Bought one to breed with my ewe. Hope she's compatible with ddr3.

      • Hahahah!

  • Thanks OP, bought 4. I hope they turn up!

  • +2

Also purchased 4, came to a total of $15 posted to my door thanks OP and Charcoal so much!

  • -4

Nice deal but it doesn't excuse brodening mate… " ordered few extra ;)"

  • +1

Before people get too happy, them accepting your money doesn't mean you'll definitely receive it! I just got a PayPal refund for the Logitech Bluetooth speaker from the other deal as they ran out of stock. I specified pickup from store too.

  • +1

I got an email saying my 8gb ram has been allocated from 2 different stores so fingers crossed it happens.

  • Thanks, needed some ram. :)

  • +2

Thanks OP! And Charcoal, I'd have signed out and +'d you several times if I had the option. :)

Edit: I see that my two sticks has been allocated for processing at Warrawong, NSW and South Nowra, NSW; 2 different stores.

    • how do you check where your order status are?

      • Check your email mate! You'll get 2 emails from TGG, check the last one.

        • I only received one email - the order confirmation.
          Nothing in spam either!

        • Give it some time, though I received mine within 10 minutes.

        • +1

Strange. I ordered within 5 minutes of this being posted (less than 30 clicks) and still haven't received a second email after the "order received" one…

    • you are welcome. same here, my sticks were processed in 2 shops as well, qld and vic, hope will get them soon

      • One shipped and getting refund for the other. So it came out 9$ for one stick, not the deal I hoped for. :(

Will they through in the usual 20$ gift voucher in my case?

  • Thank you so much!! I did buy a few sticks…. ;)

  • Ordered 2x sticks, hopefully I get them! Thanks OP.

Just wondering, does anyone know a rough estimate on the Good Guys delivery times?

    • Quick, my last order arrived in 2 business days.

  • is their mobile site down?

    • as already stated above, seems to be now.

      might just be getting OzBargained

    • +1

Their server must be running out of RAM.

  • Just got an email saying that some of the sticks are Dispatched (79%) and some Backordered (21%).

    • What does it mean?

    • 79% / 21% ?

      How many did you order??

      • 11 on the way 3 backordered, need to upgrade 3 computers

        • Was it the third email, after order confirmation and store allocation for processing?

        • yes, in a 3rd one

    • +1

the fact that they can't fulfil the OP's order doesn't bode well. i'm not holding my breath

  • the good guys sell ram? did not know that.

    • +3

cause they hide it really well look at the path:
      You are here:Home/Computers, Tablets & Accessories/Software & Peripherals/Mobile Broadband/Crucial 2GB DIMM DDR3 1333Mhz Desktop Memory ;)

  • Will this ram work on a Dell Vostro 230 PC?

    • yes it will,
      RAM
      Installed Size 4.0 GB (max)
      Technology DDR3 SDRAM - Non-ECC
      Memory Speed 1333.0 MHz
      Memory Specification Compliance PC3-10600
      Form Factor DIMM 240-pin

      • Can you comment on mine? I have a ThinkCentre M58 (7360-R29). I have 2* 2GB 1066.0 MHz installed, can I use the new 2* 2GB 1333.0 MHz with them?

        • +1

yes you can, it will work on slower speed, 1066 instead of 1333

        • That is good enough for me, was concerning about compatibility issues. As long as I use them in matching pairs, there will be no problems I guess.

  • looks like it's not working now :/

  • This product is not available for sale online. It may still be available in store but some products are not available in all stores.

May be I will visit one store close to me…

  • +1

Bought some… Time to upgrade my laptop's RAM ;)

    • +8

this is for desktop, for laptop you'll need SODIMM modules

    • +3

You bought the wrong type of RAM it's for a Desktop PC. I see the smiley face becoming a :(

Oh well you may be able to sell the RAM on ebay.

      • +2

I see the smiley face becoming a :(

its actually a winky face, i assume (hope) it was a joke/troll to get responses like yours :)

        • I see no one smiling…

      • oh shiet

        • They do have laptop memory as well, 2Gb for $13 or 4GB for $26 both are about 50% less than anywhere else. Maybe you can cancel/change/update your order?

    • +3

Cut each stick in half for laptop, they will only be 1Gb each though ;)

  • -2

What the heck…bought 10 and paid via paypal to be delivered….not sure if it will turn up?

    • -2

Wow scored 2 neg votes!…..wonder why??

      • +2

Comrades here believe you should not have purchased more than 2! :)

        • The guy who posted this deal bought 14 as he had to upgrade 3 computers. Many people will be upgrading more than one PC, and often not their own.

        • -1

Broden. What happened to true ozbargainers :(.

        • +2

I usually build systems with 8GB for family members, so even 8 sticks is enough for only 2 systems…

  • -6

it's working again now on mobile site.
ordered 8 and paid without problem.
    expecting to receive eventually.

    • Or they might just claim pricing error and cancel the order.

  • the mobile site has stopped working again :(

    • Mobile site is totally unreliable.

  • Got 8gb (x2 4gb) desktop ram for the n40l. Half the price compared to computer stores for dd3, $52

  • Just scored 4x2GB, navigated to the RAM via "mobile broadband" and the site allowed me to add 4 2GB sticks to the Shopping Cart….

    • Weird didn't work for me. This on the regular or mobile site?

  • -1

Purchased 2gb 10 units for delivery via shipping
Purchased 2gb 1 unit for pickup from local store
Purchased 2gb sodimm for pickup local store $13

    • How?
The mobile site hasn't been working for me for the past 2 hours and the normal page says "Not available for online sale..".

      • Worked from my mobile without a problem - Google chrome

        • Interesting. The mobile site doesn't work on a desktop browser but will on a mobile. I'm getting a ping response from it but simply won't work on a desktop browser be it IE, Firefox or Google Chrome. Unfortunately i'm too stingy to buy mobile internet.

          Doesn't matter i just bought a PC that has 2 x 4GB DDR3 1600mhz RAM in it any way.

        • I tried it on my mobile via Chrome - doesn't work either.
