I know its COTD but $499 + $100 to spend at a later date in effect makes this $399 for a Samsung Note 2 which isn't too bad a deal

  Hmm so 2 months to use the voucher, is this worth it even if its grey import?
  If this was Aus stock I'd buy, $399 seems cheap for a Note 2. Anyone like to clarify whether this is local or grey stock?

  "$100 to spend later" is not "$100 off (from $499)" because you have to respend it back at COTD only (which is a hit and miss site for most people).

    And you cant spend the $100 towards shipping fees. So you will ended paying $499 plus shipping fees for some junk.
    It will be so evil of they do free items, just pay for shipping deals until the voucher period ended

  be careful with COTD warranty - the only way to contact them for warranty is by email apparently

  And worst of all, the voucher expires fairly soon, on the 21st of April.

  I'm not going to downvote it, but I don't consider this a deal.
