I'm a graphics designer. Please don't learn this program…don't want more people competing with me >_<

    • Challenge accepted.

I think your already in trouble if someone taking a 10 hour Udemy course becomes the competition!

Thanks to the OP though, I'll give it a go.

Edit: also thanks to OP for not giving us a sob story about being first post, take it easy etc

      • So what is wrong in story of first post. If you are such an expert and done checking all the deals, why don't you go and search some deal and help community, rather than whinging about ur personal problems.

        • I honestly don't understand what you are trying to say?

I was (sarcastically) pointing out that if 'first in line' felt that people taking this 10 hour course would become Graphics Designers capable of competing against them then they possibly have other issues regarding their capabilities.

I was also thanking the OP for their first post which doesn't include the increasingly repetitive "This is my first post, please be nice" etc etc

        • I found your second comment rude. Its ok if people are scared in posting first time as here are so many people, who just cant ignore and want to say something bad.

          Directly from the wiki:

          Starting Etiquette

          • New users shouldn't write I'm new, don't flame me etc.

For first time posters, it's best to avoid telling the community that you are >new and asking them to take it easy on you. The “L-plate icon” will be shown to >indicate if this is your first post.

If you decide to ignore the guidelines then people are going to pick up on it and say something (bad) about it.

The comment wasn't aimed at you, I was praising the OP for doing the right thing and following the guidelines regarding first post etiquette which is increasingly being ignored.

It has nothing to do with me supposedly whinging about my personal problems :) however I am sorry that you have taken it so personally.

Back on topic, I have found the videos to be helpful in showing me features I was previously unaware of in AI which is always good! (very casual user, vector based sign-writing but not usually with AI)

        • I appreciate your effort for showing me the guidelines. But I still feel the guidelines should not deny a new user to do that. I haven't noticed there was an "L", until you pointed out. Isn't this good enough that you are sharing a deal you have found and you are not suppose to be a professional content writer. I think being so rigid put people off, not posting their deals.

      • I said, "first post please be nice" when I wrote my first post. The reason being there is a palpable air of hostility towards first posters who are doing us all a favour by posting. Also, if I chose to write that in my post, that is entirely my business. If a "sob story" offends people, they can go back to playing with their toys in the corner and not look at posts from first timers if that's what they want to do. Really, is it worth you thanking someone for not writing words to that effect?

        • Thanks mate for backing me up. Don't know, why this guy is giving us negative vote. What is there so difficult to understand.

    • I know plenty of people who can use Illustrator and Photoshop, but none of them have a single creative bone in them to make anything of any use.

      • You have to be CREATIVE to be a graphic designer!?

        ….
        …..

You nearly had us. Thought for a moment there you were being serious, LOL.

        • Of course not. But you have to be creative to be a successful graphic designer.

    • can't wait to start my career as an architect after my 10 hour course in AutoCAD.

  • Thanks. was looking for one :)

  • Thanks.
This course was always free. I do not understand how it is a bargain.
It is good information but shouldn't it be in forums?

    • Didn't know that. I just got an email from udemy because I was doing the photoshop course and they suggested this one. Thought others could benefit from the knowledge too. Feel free to take this down mods.

  • Coupon code "1587free" is not valid.

  • Just click on Ai pic above and login. Or vice versa.

  • Poor recording with missing audio and this presenter is rather unanimated. Just a waste of time.
