5GB Aus cPanel Web Hosting, $3.50/Month for Lifetime ($42/Year) + Tons of Features!

160
KICKSTART

Kickstart your business with a new shiny cPanel server!

We said this deal was coming a week ago (we lied :/), we're a lil late to the party! This deal is for ONE week ONLY.

For a limited time you can get our 'business hosting' deal for $3.50 per month (payment term MUST be annually, biannually or triennially so $42, $84 or $126 respectively upfront)… this deal is for the lifetime of your account! All our servers are in Sydney. It comes with cPanel and:

5GB of space
Unmetered* bandwidth (*THIS IS NEW!!)
Unlimited databases
Unlimited addon domains
Unlimited subdomains
Unlimited email accounts
Free DNS hosting via cPanel

Plus!!! Much much more, like dozens of one-click install apps via cPanel -> Softaculous (ei, WordPress). Detailed list of features available on hosting page.

The code required for the discount is 'KICKSTART' be sure to select annually, biannually or triennially.

We are able to offer extraordinary deals with such quality servers primarily because we partner with established web hosting companies and wholesale space and bandwidth on their network. All plans come with second-to-none support.

Transferring .com, .net or .org's costs $10 and comes with a year of renewal. Transferring .com.au, .net.au, .org.au's is 100% free!

Registering .com.au .net.au or .org.au require eligibility (usually an ABN). Registering any other domain doesn't.

We'd also like to confirm that none of our services are oversold. This means that you'll always have access to the resources you pay for - on lightning fast servers. We're so confident about our servers that the 9WEB website itself is hosted on our professional account!

Understand also what unlimited means: you're free to use as much bandwidth as you like - unlimited does not mean infinite however, for example an unmetered 100Mbit/s connection gives a maximum transfer of roughly 30TB/month or 30,000Gbytes/month.

The word 'Unlimited' has been used and abused quite aggressively in the telecommunications and online service industry.

Buying my third hosting with you right now. :D

    • Good stuff =)

  • How much memory is allocated for PHP?

    • To begin with, 64MB… you can raise it to 256MB via a php.ini or get us to do it =)

    +1 +1 +1
Got 6 domains and 2 hosting accounts with you :)

    • Awesome! =)

  • I got the basic hosting package from these guys and I am VERY happy. I moved from Hostgator and saved a bunch of money. My only gripe is that 1 Gig isn't that much, but obviously this Business package solves that problem. Site and email loads super fast since it's all hosted in Aus. Thumbs up and glad I joined you guys. Won't be going back to Hostgator ever.

    • Thanks tessel! Appreciate the kind words =)

    un·lim·it·ed
    /ˌənˈlimitid/
    adjective
    1. not limited or restricted in terms of number, quantity, or extent.
"the range of possible adaptations was unlimited"
synonyms: inexhaustible, limitless, illimitable, boundless, immeasurable, incalculable, untold, infinite, endless, bottomless, never-ending

Not that I don't understand or don't like your data limit— it is extremely fair— but your explanation is ridiculous. You yourself said the word has been abused, so why use it? Why not just put 30TB/month limit? Or, better yet, just say "a fair play policy is in place regarding bandwidth, and it hovers around 30TB/month transfer." There is a reason why the ACMA updated the TCP in 2012 to go against claims of "unlimited" unless its actually limited.

I, as a consumer, would also be more interested in a company that specifies data transfer limits. Whenever I see "unlimited storage" or "unlimited bandwidth" its off-putting and makes me trust the company less. Saying 5GB of storage is great, but also express the same for your transfer.

    • Interesting point. Do you think 'unmetered' would be a more fitting?

    • +2

Seriously? It IS unlimited, given the nature of what they are offering. They tell you that it is a 100mbit pipe, and you can use up as much as you want. There is NO LIMIT to how much you want to use/abuse the 100mbit pipe. The only limit imposed is that it is capped at 100mbits/sec, which means that you will never be able to go over around 30TB/month.
They're not lying about anything, on the contrary, I think they're being very transparent and giving you every bit of information to make your own judgement and not be cheated.
      Strange people =\

      • LOL You go anywhere near that kind usage and their host will boot them from their network for abuse. It's a shared service so unless they're running their own vps's that 100mbit is shared and subject to AUP.

        • No actually. You're free to use as much as you like… there is no throttling.

        • @Berek, so you've seen their hosting agreement then?

        • +1

          Don't need to.
It's a good deal so shouldn't clutter it up with chat. Start a forum topic and I can post some wholesale agreements for you to read :-)

If that's the case then I'm a moron and feel free to neg the crap out of me.

edit: confirmed it to be the case. i am a moron.

      I can't believe someone started this again…

  • Happy with the 1GB plan I am on, but know a few people who are interested in the 'Business hosting' plan, will forward the details :)

    • Thanks =)

  • Is there any resource difference between the business and professional plans except for disk space?

    • Good question. Other than disk space, no.

  • Any specials for corporate? :)

    • Not really, the corporate plans seem to be really unpopular :/

      • That's unfortunate, am also interested in a corporate plan.

        • +1

Hi guys… fair enough, we'll help you out. Send through an email… we'll offer you the corporate plan for $6/m.

        • Awesome! Would this be recurring as well?

        • Yes!

        • Awesomer!
Last Question… Would the space be huge enough and the features offered be good enough for an eCommerce website?

        • Let me put it this way: 9web runs on the professional plan. Our site is a few hundred megs… With databases comprising another few hundred megs

          So 5GB is huge.

        • Thanks, I sent you a message for the corporate plan.

        • oh hai there, I too would like in on this corporate offer.. i want to set up a photography site with lots of room to grow..

        • Please send an email to [email protected]

  • What is the size limitation for the database? count into the total space limit or certain size for database

    • That's correct. It's counted towards your diskspace.

  • Hi, 9WEB. Is there any limitation on email disk space? Can we use all that 5GB for email accounts?

    • That's correct.

  • Excellent.. Now my plans for world domination and enslavement of all web users can begin at only $3.50 a month.

Already have the basic plan which I'm happy with (fast activation, easy to use) but 5gb is even sweeter! will buy this once I get home and figure out what domain I have spare to assign to it…

Just an idea, the corporate plan for $5-$6 or so would be very tempting if it was offered..

    • +2

Ahaha great… if you shoot us an email we can give you the corporate plan for $6 =)

  • Is it possible to install a 3rd party SSL?

    • +2

Yes. You may have to pay for a dedicated IP however… around $10 a year.

  • Great deal! will the pricing revert back to normal if i sign up?
I'm currently on dreamhost and they are fairly slow :(

    • +1

Never. This price will recur every year until the internet breaks ;)

  • Is there any deals or specials for .com.au domain names..?? It would be icing on cake ..

    • Unfortunately, no.

  • Be prepared for another major noob question.
Is it possible to host more than 1 domain with that 5gb?
Like I have a few sites planned over the next 6 months, and they will all be only like 300 mb

    • Absolutely, you can do this via cPanel -> addon domains… this creates a folder for each website.

      • and they are all just as manageable (as opposed to having them with separate cPanel accounts) with different emails and all?
because the websites will be very different haha
        Thanks for the awesome help!

        • They all use the same cPanel account! They can all have their own email address if that's what you're asking?

  • awesome - deal went for the triennial renewal… thanks rep.

    • Good stuff!

  • Hi Rep, any chance of extending this deal for an existing customer looking to add/upgrade? :)
    Thank you
