What even is seen in this screen shot I would think .. the default mac tools?
http://a3.mzstatic.com/au/r30/Purple4/v4/c6/48/8c/c6488c26-1…It looks like xcode - Apples main development utility. You can get it on the Mac App Store (you can only develop for iOS on Mac) for free.
It seems to be just a course. To build apps you can use http://gamesalad.com/
Hey Marioland. Great site. Do you know of any others that develop other apps, not just games.
So I can't see it if I don't have an ipad
So, will I have to buy an ipad to avail the discount?
You can grab them now using iTunes on your computer, but you'll need an iPad to use the apps. I did this for a year before I bought an iPad - so when I did buy one I already had lots of apps.
No you can avail the discount and never have to buy an iPad
Nice, I'll see what I can learn.
Protip: I learnt how to Develop for iOS via iTunes, for free.
iTunes U (short for iTunes University) has the whole curriculum of Stanford's 101 iOS development.
Get yourself OSX and xCode and follow along with the iTunes U videos, you'll be making apps like a champ in a month.
All for free!.
(When you want to publish, you'll need to pay Apple $99 annually). Also, be realistic. There isn't any tool that will completely remove programming - get ready to do some bare bones programming with xCode; especially if you want to make a decent, robust application.
Thanks for this man. I've just started learning Obj-C and this will be a big help. Arw there any other resources you would recommend?
Is this software to build apps, or just a course?
If the latter, what do they use to build an app?
