Just on my final bag of this from the last deal (seal blew on my espresso machine last fortnight, which slowed me down a bit!)

The Ethiopian Yirgacheffe is a thing of absolute beauty. I think I'll grab this deal again, thanks op!

    • +6

Your the first person I know that has a pet seal. I hope you told him off for blowing on the machine and interrupting your morning coffee haha ;-) Glad your enjoying the coffee!

      • +2

Yeah I got custody of a whole bunch of exotic animals after Bieber was briefly incarcerated recently ;) I usually use the seal's whiskers to clean the grounds out of my group handle, on reflection, that may have upset him!

At least it didn't eat my left hand (one internet cookie to whoever gets that reference!)

      • That's how he got the cream for his coffee… when his seal blew.

    • Dammit I gave my Ethiopian to a friend for Christmas - no wonder he liked it!

  • Damn, you are about 5 days too late with your timing this time round. Down to my last bag so I just bought the 1kg from safari roast. When does this deal expire?

    • Listed for a couple of weeks but depends on volume ordered. May have to end it early

    • Exactly my position

  • +2

Any chance of a Brazil Fazenda deal soon? My favorite coffee by far, I'm also down to my final 200g from the last deal.

  • +2

Yes a fantastic coffee and placed 5th in the Cup Of Excellence this year. Seems to be very popular. I'll consider it for next time :-)

    • I think you're talking about different coffees. I think bm means this one:
      Brazil Fazenda Serra e Leite
      and not this one:
Brazil Fazenda Recreio Microlot – Washed

      From this deal: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/118988
I second seeing that offer returning! Top SO and one of the best blends going around.

      • You're right - I didn't know there was another type.

Mannabeans, how about a special with 1kg of both? :)

        • +3

Thanks for the clarification and yes I was referring to the Brazil Fazenda Recreio. Happy to run these beans some time. Perhaps in the next couple of weeks. I'll consider for the next deal.

Thanks again for your support guys ;-)

A bit cheaper than the last 8 mixed pack of premium. I have to agree with LaTerrible that the Ethiopian Yirgacheffe is excellent, with and without milk.

    I'm using a stove top.

looks good and just about to run out. Just placed order.

  • Was looking at this aeropress deal that is still on your web site:
    http://www.mannabeans.com.au/aeropressdeal271113/
Any chance of bundling the aeropress and metal disc thing with this deal? Also looking at that hand wind grinder that you have too. Need some better options at work.

Great beans by the way. Almost finished my last lot.

    • Sending you a PM

      • Nice deal, any chance of getting a deal to bundle this with the hand grinder?

        • id also be interested in this

        • PM'd you both :-)

        • +1 to hand grinder, but probably best to wait until I need another consignment of beans I guess.

        • Thanks Stumo, PM'd you

        • I'd also been interested in this :)

  • I Just bought it. paid with paypal. But it didnt ask me for my shipping address. Do they post it to paypal address??

    • Yep. I asked the same question last time, too, just to check. It all worked out fine, so as long as your paypal shipping adders is accurate you'll be in business!

      • Thanks, yes we ship to Paypal address. If you need to change the address Carjack then shoot me an email

Thanks manaman just ordered, been waiting for this one for a while. Loved your last 2kg deal and the Yeman beans were awesome.

Cheers Tommy, got 3 rare Yemen coffees on the way at the moment. Currently on a boat somewhere ;-)

good product at great price so + from me. Still going through my previous 8x250 so will need to pass on this one.

  • OP, is it possible to just grab 2 x 1kg bags of just 2 of these beans?
250g isn't enough for the taste of a bean to really sink in for me.

  • Just because I'm special too….

Last time I bought 2kg from you it took about 2.5 months to drink it all (I mostly drink the coffee during work hours rather than home). Could you let me know

    • will these coffees be still good enough after 2 months; or
    • any chance of doing a 4x250g package deal for $30? Preferably with the Yirgacheffe as everyone is raving about it (otherwise happy to take anything)

    Cheers

    • Just freeze and thaw without ever opening the sealed bags. Chuck them all straight in the freezer, then pull one out and leave it to fully thaw the day before you open it. Rinse repeat.

      • +1

Thanks Stumo, this is certainly one method that some people use if planning to keep the coffee for longer than a month or so.

Unfortunately dtc we're unable to do the 4 x 250g for $30 as after postage costs I would barely be breaking even. Also having to alter the deal on an individual basis throws out the roasting quantities to make this deal viable.

We do have a large selection of coffees available in 250g on our website though. Cheers

        • Not a problem, thought that would probably be the case. I did freeze the last pack and it tasted fine, but there is always that nagging thought of 'would it have tasted better if I didnt freeze it…'

        • Yeah it's a difficult one and everyone's opinion can vary on this topic.

Is this David? If so our roastery may very well be around the corner from your office as we are based in Archerfield, Brisbane. If this is the case perhaps pop in and I'll try to help out with the coffee

        • Thanks - no, I am in a regional area.

  • Anyone know if deliveries are done by Australia Post or Courier?

    • AusPost I believe.

      • Brisbane order sent by local courier however we have started sending all the remainder by Australia Post Express

  • Hi rep,

I bought on weekend. Can I expect an email with tracking etc or at least notifying me that coffee has been shipped? Or I am asking for too much on this deal?

    • +1

      Ilsan,

Thanks for your recent purchase with us. I can see that you have ordered from us on multiple occasions now and you normally send me an email within 24hrs asking if we have shipped.

Please read the deal description more carefully as you always need to allow at least 24-48hrs to give us a chance to roast and ship order before any kind of tracking can be sent.

On this particular deal we clearly specified that all coffee was being roasted and shipped Monday and Yesterday. We started sending tracking out last night and the remainder will be emailed out today. Our first priority is to get the coffees sent out to our custoers and then we can start sending tracking.

We have now changed our transport model and apart from the Brisbane area(local Courier), all orders are currently being sent with Australia Post Express so it would most probably turn up within 24hrs of the specified shipping date anyway.

      • Since we are talking particulars here:

        1. I have never emailed you 24 hours later. I follow up 2-3 days later as other coffee suppliers always correspond with the purchasers unlike Manna Beans

        2. Don't talk about tracking. I received my coffee today, but am yet to receive the coffee.

        Looking forward to tasting some.

        • Hi Santosh,

I'm glad to hear that your coffee arrived within 24hrs of us shipping it as per the shipping date specified on our deal page. When you purchase through our site you instantly receive a confirmation email from Paypal(This is the first correspondence) Following this; once we have roasted and shipped the coffee we send out tracking confirmation (In this instance we emailed it to you 2 days ago on Wednesday so perhaps it would be worthwhile checking your spam inbox). If we post late afternoon and you receive the following morning at the same time or before the tracking has been received then surely this is a good thing as an overnight service means you don't even need the tracking.

As per you point no1, here is an example of one occasion for your reference:

          From: Santosh
          6/12/13
          Hello ,

I ordered yesterday via Paypal 0P016178L6697323A.
Please advise if you have shipped it?

          http://www.ip2location.com/61.8.9.130

Further to this as we are currently in the process of intergrating our system with Australia Post. This should improve the information supplied relating to the movement of your goods as they send out automatically generated emails direct to our customer on our behalf informing of tracking and delivery details
