For anyone cautious about where their food is sourced from: often the Creative Gourmet frozen berries are from China. Browse their website and see the descriptions of each product for more info :)

eg. "Creative Gourmet Blackberries are primarily sourced from China. Occasionally when supply is low or the high quality we expect is unavailable, we also source blackberries from New Zealand."

    • we also source blackberries from New Zealand

which they probably import from china, repackage and label as a product of new zealand :)

    • Nannas are usually from Chile but can be from China also.

    • often the Creative Gourmet frozen berries are from China

      -1 not often:

      Raspberries: Chile, Serbia
      Blueberries: Canada, Chile
Organic berries: Chile, Europe, Canada, Argentina
      Cherries: USA
      Strawberries: China, Argentina
      Blackberries: China, New Zealand
      Black Currants: New Zealand

      • That's if you trust that the berries are in fact "product of ______" when those other countries are listed. Especially those listed from NZ.

Considering the ones from China occur in the mixed berries too, I'd still call that often enough. Highly doubt those currants are NZ grown either :P

Either way, though, I buy fresh Aussie berries and freeze them myself for the rest of the year when they're not in season. They taste a hell of a lot better, too. I've tried the Creative Gourmet strawberries and they were tasteless. They're still taking up room in my freezer lol.

Made in New Zealand from local and imported ingredients

no such statement from Creative Gourmet

Considering the ones from China occur in the mixed berries too

Creative Gourmet Mixed Berries are sourced from Chile or Serbia (Raspberries), China or New Zealand (Blackberries), Poland (Red Currants), Canada (Wild Blueberries) and New Zealand (Black Currants).

          why?

i only buy their raspberries :)

        • Why? Because I'm a bitter, skeptical old cow, that's why :P

  • coles sell their own brand 500g blueberries, blackberries, rapsberries, strawberries or mango @ 2 for $9

  • I wish I could plus this twice. Thanks so much for posting the creamy classics in the title! Was going to buy tomorrow but I can hold off until Wednesday and buy a few tubs!!

  • Bought one today and it's quite grainy. Not the normal standard of the product. Wondering whether I should exchange it or if the whole batch is on special. Anyone bought one and found the same thing?

  • Redheads Lighter Gas Refillable $6 (Save $3.99)
