Star Wars R2-D2 Projection Clock. Free Shipping in AU. $39.95

220

This nifty little R2-D2 unit acts as a clock which can either project the time onto the nearest wall or display it on the small LCD screen on the side.

It makes the R2-D2 noises and can be set as an alarm clock. Time can be switched between 12H or 24H time and it runs on batteries.

The screen on the side is really tiny (see image) so you really are better to use the wall function. I like to think that the screen is a guide for battery life remaining, as the LCD screen will start to fade as batteries run low.

He stands roughly 16.5cm tall, is about 6.5cm deep and about 9.5cm wide.

It runs on 2 x AAA batteries and a G13 battery which are included.

There are other people selling this for the same price, but they charge postage. Some sellers are charging as much as $60 for this including postage, but the average price seems to be around $50!

As with my previous posts, trying to get some traffic and get people visiting my site on a regular basis. Not for everyone, but neither is my site.

Cheers,

crazEyez

this is not a site for advertising. its not ozclassifieds

And yet the people keep voting these onto the front page. The people have spoken.

IMO its fine if it's advertising a bargain - the OP had his own justification in his post, now we get our own chance to agree or disagree. Can you justify to us that it's not a bargain?

Think about it. With Scotty allowing store representatives onto this site, how can they possibly post bargains without it being considered advertising?

As itsross said, the people have spoken.

and i might add, that we've seen time and time again that any negatives for ideological reasons tend to backfire and result in an overwhelming number of people simply voting positive (even more than the negatives in the first place) even though they wouldn't have voted for it otherwise!

  • Well, slowmo asked for one and you've delivered crazEyez…

    • Yeah, got my +ve vote! :)

I'll only buy one if it can project Princes Leah asking "Help me Obiwan Kenobi, you are my only hope"… :)

    • …And only then if it can do it as a life-size hard-light hologram!!!

        One day.. :)

      • And even then, it must have a percntage off, and cost under $50.

        • AND with free shipping lol… gosh we're a tight lot here at ozba!

          • @ccrap: Well I probably wouldn't worry so much about the percent off as long as I get free shipping, as I'm sure the freight would cost a bit lol

Cute, but my 20 year old analog bell-alarm clock serves me well.

    Wow, I'm really cheap..

    • +1

Call that cheap? My clock is the position of the sun …

      • How can you tell the time at night? the moon? and whats happen when it's cloudy? you go to sleep? :)

        • +3

Night-time is easy, I simply go around making noise until someone shouts, "Do you know what time it is?!" Then I get them to tell me.

And it's only ever cloudy at 2:29pm. Everyone knows that.

  • +1 for honesty

  • Whats the alarm tone? If it's the sound that R2D2 make then ill order one!

    • +3

      Hi Wonga,

It does make the make R2-D2 sounds for the alarm. The alarm puts out a 60 second alarm of his beeps and chirps!

Once I get a new battery for my video cam I will be posting videos of the products on my site.

crazEyez - keep posting the deals. some of them are great

  • Do you have to press a button every time you want the time projected? or there is an on/off switch for continuous projection?

  • +1

Just got mine today. Set it up.. It's adorable but it's such a pisser that each time you want to see the time:

you hit the "demo" button and the time is projected on the nearest wall
    BUT
it's accompanied by 10secs of its beeps and chirps.

now in the day this is acceptable but in the dead of night, it's bloody annoying!!

    • Got one too, and that is my only gripe! The only time you would want to project the time is when it's the middle of the night, and you can't because it starts making loud noises at the same time :|
