  • It is amazing how cheap mono laser printers have become. Once upon a time an inkjet printer used to cost more than this.

  • +1 because I've had good experiences with Lexmark laser printers (not the inkjet printers). This is a faster printer than the likes of the cheap (but also good) bargain Brothers. This one does native PS.

Here's a review, note that this is the network version, not the one offered:

But it's kind of sneaky how OO advertises down from $69 when they make it up in delivery charge. And who are they kidding when they write RRP $421.30? Maybe when it first came out.

  • 3,500 page carts is good but they cost more than the printer

    • You can buy some pretty cheap (but good ones) on ebay.

  • I've had this printer for a few years.. bought it at OW for I can't even remember. But it was over $100. It's a handy unit with low cost replacement toners for $30 on eBay. Best thing about it is built in auto duplex!

    • +1

Can you link to the replacement cartrage toners for $30?

When I type the model number the cheapest on eBay is $57 + $21 postage.

      • oh i'm sorry i mistakenly got the model number wrong.. my one is the e250d which seems to be the superseded model.. and yeah its toner is only $30

  • +1

Not negging this deal but there are a few low end mono laser printers on sale at Officeworks at the moment so anyone looking to buy should do some research:

Colour laser for under a hundred bucks? Insane!
That being said, I don't think any of the above do duplex so the deal posted might be a good one. It also seems do output at a higher res (1200x1200) and print at faster speeds 33ppm.

    • I would happily put in an extra $50 for duplex printing if it avoids the hassle of doing it manually for the next few years.

      • +2

        I probably would too… :D

  • Fat printer with duplex but toner cost heaps unless you buy third party ones also not easy to set IP address etc without LCD. Our company bought about 10 of them 3 years ago most of them died after the 3 years warranty ran out.

    • This model has no network interface. You must have had the DN model at your workplace. Work printers have a hard life so 3 years isn't bad.

  • Any good colour laser printer with duplex printing and scanning ?

  • great deal

  • Good deal. Unfortunately when looking at it last night I didn't see the $30 off expired today, which it now has.

Still seems like a reasonable deal for the original price too though, and the BOGOF deal for toner is still on

  • Other than this, what would recommend as a reliable mono laser printer with automatic duplex for home use with network capabilities(Ethernet or Wifi), fairly low running costs and no common paper-jamming issues?

      • yeah that's great value and cheap to run too

      • Thanks for that link. Tossing up now between the Xerox DPP255DW and Brother HL-2270DW: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/101784

The Brother seems more compact and the dark finish is not as intrusive but it is more expensive. I still have the $30 AMEX credit deal to use with HN but they don't want to currently budge on <$142.

        • consider the running costs (price per page of toner yield).. it seems like the brother is cheaper when buying generic toners from ebay sellers shipping from australia.. otherwise the xerox is cheaper when buying generic toners from ebay sellers shipping outside of australia

  • Personally I think the Fuji Xerox DPP255DW is better value.
