With postage added the Blu-Ray DVD player is only $9 cheaper than buying at big w everyday price an have the ease of taking it back if issue.
A note for anyone looking at the laser BD1000, if you use the composite output (like on an old tube TV), you can see the menus to do the setup, I plugged one into a HDMI monitor and I could check setup but it would not display on the composite output - even when set to do so. I could watch a dvd fine, but could not access the players menus.
