Charles Ray Eames Arm Chair Replica, $24 @ Target

Happend to walk past the replica chairs in Target and thought I'd scan it in. I was really surprised when it scanned for $24.00! That's $12 per chair!

These are full size replicas (not the kids version) weight rated to 120kg. They come in a packet of two and I've never seen them this cheap. A while ago they were advertised for $100 but I'm not sure what the discount/how long they are on special for as there were no signs. I assume this is Aus wide but I purchased this one in Victoria Park, WA.

They did have other types but I wasn't interested so I'm not sure if it's across the whole range.

    God these chairs are so ugly and they're in just about every furniture shop! (I'm currently on the lookout for some dining chairs but can't find any I like) might be worth it if anyone knows how to change the legs and upholster in a light grey leather that would look nice eg. http://www.corporateculture.com.au/shop/about-a-lounge-aal82…

    The problem today that furniture is either too traditional or trying too hard to be modern/metallic looking.

      The original Eames moulded chair was released in 1948.

      On the original chair, the legs are attached to the seat with Torx screws. If the replica is accurate, it should be possible to change the legs.

      well when it was $60 I had to call 3 stores before I can find a unit. So this is like those officeworks kinda clearance where you cant find any stock anymore. That's why they are so much cheaper

      Disagree. They're a great addition to any home wanting to add a touch of French whilst maintaining a simple and modern aesthetic.

    I ended up calling online support 1300 753 567 and they were able to tell me who had stock, they did tell me that the data can be 48 hours or more behind.

    Ended up telling me that Northland (VIC) had 6 in stock and transferred me through, when transfered there were only 3 left in stock, which is what i needed.

    The guy also said that Water Gardens had 9 in stock over the phone as of this morning.
