I'm sold as I need to get some ingredients to make noodles with my Aldi Wok this weekend.

    • I'd agree with you there. Of all the ones I've tried, it tends to be best for both sushi and in cooking.
Yamasa is on par, but I don't see it on special often.

    • agree - kikkoman is good, one of the very few soy sauces on the market that are naturally brewed.

    • yep, Kikkoman is the real deal. (even if Made in Singapore)
though our local Asian has Wadakan 1L Made in Japan for $4.50

I wouldn't be consuming any food products from Japan following Fukushima if you can help it…

  • Wow, Freedom Foods stuff is rarely discounted this much!

LOL. Yeah, I got the pun. "Show you" = Shoyu (Japanese for soy sauce).

the best deal from coles this week is the cobram estate extra virgin oil for $14
but these 2 are very good as well. i wish they make salt reduce soy sauce (most modern asian recipes always say use salt reduce) which i can never find.

I already stocked up on Cobram Estate olive oil last week when the 750mL bottles were half price!

Yes I know that it's bad to stock up on olive oil as it can go rancid…but bleh

  • $6.14 for reduced salt Kikkoman 600ml, is it a good price?

  • Made in Singapore or Made in Japan?

Its still a good deal though

    Kikoman is way too salty

    KIKKOMAN KIKKOMAN….

    YouTube ' fight kikkoman'

I remembered this from years ago…

    Good deal too.

  • FYI - The printed catalogue says it's $2.80 for the Kikkoman Soy 600ml

  • Wow good deal on Japanese Coke~

  • Don't confuse the Kikkoman with the Lucozade

  • i personally prefer tamari rather than soy sauce, less salty and richer in flavor and taste.

    • +1 same - and not all soy sauces are gluten-free like tamari :)

  • I think Kikkoman Soy Sauce 1.5L is around $10 in Cosco

    • so this is cheap? :)

  • deal updated - kikkoman still 50% off :)
