What's the cheapest Mobile Internet Prepaid/Plan for lighter user?

I am after a prepaid or postpaid plan for my tablet, which will be used for mobile internet only. I only use it for email, IM and web browsing, 100MB per month should be enough.

Is there any providers offer such plan? TPG's PAYG was the perfect one but it was discoutinued for almost a year.

    aldi payg 5c/min, $15, 365day expiry

  • Be careful if you are using Android…to this day, my many $15 recharges seem to expire within 6 weeks…and I don't make phone calls nor use data while mobile..but my account details say that I access data…like a few kbs every session…and a session, regardless of 1mb or 1kb = 5c…

What baffles me is that I have switched off all my data and disabled all my widgets…I can't find out where it has gone terribly wrong…So much for a prepaid.

    Note: same issue with Amaysim…

    • same with Aldi, min charge is 5c per session. before I realised it I had two days where I was charged about 50 sessions a day.

    • What phone and rom do you have?

EDIT: It occurred to me that a way to definitely be sure that no data is used would be to delete APN settings in Settings>Mobile networks>Access Point names

  • Are there any providers charge data block at 100KB or less, instead of 1MB?

  • Would be interested in knowing this to. thanks

  • Kiss Mobile on their Keep It Simple plan and buy a data bolt on. 100MB $2, 500MB $4.

The Critical Information Summary pdf at the bottom link talks about the data bolt ons.

    • SMS Receipt 20c per SMS Receipt

It should be fine if you don't dislcose your number to anyone.

  • Found Yatango (https://www.yatangomobile.com.au) has a reasonable plan which you can customise to your own usage pattern. The fine print for the 200MB plan is https://www.yatangomobile.com.au/docs/Yatango_CIS_Data_200MB…

However the data is calcualted to 1MB Data Rounding as well.

$10p/m on a 24 month contract. And Data usage is calculated in 10 kilobyte (kB) increments
