I'm sure you've seen the sausage sizzle posts at BMW etc.. dealerships the last couple of days. Is this really the kind of thing we want to allow as a "bargain"
Surely it would only serve to damage the reputation of this site and its visitors if we were just seen as freeloaders who will go out of their way for a snag sandwich
Any thoughts?

I can imagine there will be lots of judging at the dealership. I can also see people bringing their whole family there for lunch and probably taking extra for dinner.

EDIT: BMW seem to have a habit of doing meat themed freebies.
Do you think BMW cares what OzB thinks? Not sure your typical OzBargainer fits their typical 'customer profile' (although I have been considering a great deal on a 125i).

I'm not against a free sausage sizzle, just that its implied that you're coming to the event to purchase, they're just feeding you while you're there. Oh well, perhaps they'll talk a few people into a new BMW.

I don't see the problem if the manager of the business has given the ok. Firstly it's a local thing and 99.x% of the people won't be able to go. Secondly, speaking for myself, I have better things to do then let myself be buttonholed by car salespeople. (Almost wrote critter :).)
Note that deals of snag BBQs aren't novel, I think computer part shops have announced these in the past on OzB.
