$1.25 per can at Costco everyday price.
i only ever buy when they r $1 a can so $24 per box + $7 shipping from coles/woolies
Same price, 4 for $6 right now at Woolworths, instore and online, cheaper shipping at Woolworts online and no qty limit

$56 (incl delivery) to carindale. You have a shop at coorparoo. That makes this about $2.30 per can. Or double the price of going to woolies and buying them myself.

While that may or may not be true (cbf choosing post codes til I find one that qualifies for $9 shipping) lets run with your theory. That comes out at roughly $1.80 per can. Still failing to see the bargain here.
Wow. If the deal was $24 for 24 cans, plus $6 delivery, it would be reasonably well..
What are eligible items?
Cheaper at Woolies or Coles.
Neg for no deal, unhelpful and arrogant rep that simply copy and pastes replies and for foobars post.
If you have a question we would be more than happy to assist, kind regards the PETstock team
It wasn't an accusation, it was a QUESTION, one that I'm sure everyone would have actually liked answered. Re the comment above - I presented facts and asked if it was a coincidence or a sock, no accusation, just another effing QUESTION.
I see the sock account is PB'd but the two upvotes as well as the comment from that account are all still in play.
I'm truly over this now, I will never report (have not done for some time now) nor will I expose any of these fraudsters in public again. The collective of imbeciles win.
Foobar, don't give up that easily. I'm with you on this one.
I'm on your side too.
Regardless of the outcome, the deal sucks.
As explained multiple times. If you have a query about another user, use the report so we can investigate. Accusing people without evidence is defamatory and interferes with our internal investigations. You certainly wouldn't want to be accused of something you didn't do.
In a hypothetical situation of a deal having a sockpuppet, the deal would be removed. Make that what you will.
Why was the accused user put in the penalty box?
The deal with cityfarmers had both the accused, and the OP in this thread commenting.
See previous comment. Sorry, we don't discuss specific user issues publicly.
Not sure what the cityfarmers issue is. Best if you start a thread in Talk with a Moderator thread.
we don't discuss specific user issues publicly
Is that right? I guess this must never have happened then.
Not sure what the cityfarmers issue is
No surprise there. If you toodle over to the thread where the now binned Couta made their one and only comment promoting this mob, you'll see two posts under it, a comment from the OP here clarifying what Couta said. I'm sure PETstock just happened to come along at the exact right time to make this clarification, no doubt just another massive coincidence and nothing at all suspicious happening there.
Accusing people
I made no accusations at all, I posted links and info asking others to judge for themselves.
interferes with our internal investigations
So there was an investigation already happening? It didn't kick off until after I listed all the astonishing coincidences?
You certainly wouldn't want to be accused of something you didn't do
I get accused of doing stuff I haven't done all the time, the most recent example I can think of is when someone deleted a comment I made that was a straightforward question - a question that I believe many people would have liked an answer to. "I have a question, who is Couta" - and that's an accusation?
hypothetical situation of a deal having a sockpuppet
So if they weren't a sock, why were they binned? What possible motive could a non-sock have to upvote two vendor specific deals and post a link off to the same vendor they upvoted? Actions which have apparently inexplicably landed them in the PB.
I point this stuff out because believe it or not, I actually want this to be a better place free of spam and socks and the like. However, as I've already stated I just won't bother again, the devolution into SpamBargain appears irreversible.
Is that right?
Yes, it's right. If a user wants to bring their issues into the forum then we'll happily discuss however until we have dealt with the issue in private then its best not to discuss.
Here is what you need to understand in any case. Just like our Australian justice system, we need to investigate, question, and have evidence. Sometimes it may look obvious such as a sockpuppet or a spammer. However, don't be surprised what competitors or other users will do on OzBargain. Fake accounts, deals, and comments is something we deal with daily. Users on OzBargain won't have all the evidence/information available to them that moderators do.
Now, in regards with dealing with users privately. We have a lot of people in this community, just like in real life, who are very emotional. We have had issues with people wanting to harm themselves or harm our staff (police have been involved). Thus we try and deal with user issues politely and privately.
I know this is frustrating for you and maybe this is why people stop reporting crimes in real life, however its what has to be done. We aren't sitting here on a power trip. We are constantly discussing, investigating and querying people behind the scenes based on around ~1000 reports we get per month.
So we want everyone to focus on the bargains and let us deal with the crap. ;)
You're kidding right? $35.99 for 24 cans plus up to $20 for postage! Where's the bargain? These are available for $1.78 per can at Woolies, and as low as $1 each when on special.
