    Not sure i'd trust a no-name cloud provider. Dropbox is a huge name and is still sketchy as lol

      But there is big difference between dropbox a syncing and Zoolz Backup and archiving solution. Also it is way much cheaper if you get 500 GB on dropbox it would cost you around $40 a month while Zoolz offers you unlimited space for $30 a year.

      I'm not saying Dropbox is a bad service I use it to sync my work documents but also I have Zoolz backing up my external hard drive all up to the cloud.

    I've been using Zools for a few months now as a kind of trial, as a secondary (redundant) source of storage. I primarily use crashplan.
    So far Zools has been ok. Using Amazon cold storage on the back end, everything appears to be working as described.

    The memory usage on their Windows desktop app however is terrible. Not a big deal for me as I run it on a server worh ample memory, but it isn't ideal.
    At $30 per year for unlimited Amazon cold storage I'm not sure how this is sustainable. Seems almost too cheap. Hopefully we don't see these guys fold like so many others have in the recent past.

    Is this once off discount or recurring / lifetime? Also, what happens to your file if you stop subscribing / miss payment?

    Can't seems to find it on their FAQs.

      This offer is a one year subscription, when you renew your plan you will be charged $36 but we can assure you that it is already the cheapest cloud backup service available.

      When your subscription is over , Zoolz would keep your data stored for 30 days as your account would be inactive. However, when you renew your plan you can directly resume your backup.
