Join meatwave to score free burger(s) and sweet summer deals.

Each Monday between Jan 20 and Feb 16, we’ll be setting weekly target temperatures on our Facebook and Twitter feeds.

When your local temp hits the week’s target, head into your local restaurant with your Meatwave card for a free burger or other great stuff.

Note I haven't checked out any more details, just posting what their site claims. Will update if more info is required.

Offers are eat in only, no additional toppings, no phone orders, GF extra.

The offers can vary by state, some have age limitations, some stores are not redeeming alcohol deals and one is not redeeming on select dates.

Some weekly offers are freebies. Some are just discounts. Offers require the temperature to exceed the target set for that week or for Grill'd to just say the offer is available regardless of temperature.

    Beyond the free burger the deals are ordinary. Still worth signing up for one free burger. They are pretty steep usually.

      I reckon the most overpriced item on the menu has to be the Rekorderlig slushy, from memory its close $6 for a measly 200ml slushy. day light robbery.

    If I'm doing this right not only do you have to give a face book like but then you have to travel to the store and pick up a member card and then if the temp reaches target on a particular day you travel again to the store to get your free burger. #lame
    Why do you have to go pick up a member card beforehand why can't you just use the email you receive when you do the FB like

      Maybe you can pick up the card when you go for the first freebie? The card can't be anything elaborate as that would cost too much, probably just has a box for your name.

      In States other than NSW, the number of member cards is limited as per T&Cs. Therefore, if you wait too long, you may miss out on getting a member card. In NSW there is no limit, so I intend to rock up for the member card when claiming the freebie.

        Actually the FB user handle is only mentioned in the first sentence: "Digital high five <handle>, yada yada". There'll probably be a lot of people whose FB handles don't match their legal name so I doubt if Grill'd will give you any hassle. The email address doesn't appear in the body, only in the mail headers, but you don't have to print that.

        I wrote print, but you can also show it on your smartphone. They'll be too busy to do more than scan your barcode.

          Actually when you sign up, the form automatically populates your facebook name from your FB profile but you can ammend it to be your real name - my sister has a 'fake' facebook name and when we signed her up we changed her name to her real name so that it will match her ID when she goes into Grill'd to get her card.

          Staff are checking carefully and also checking the barcode like you said.

          The whole of my office signed up yesterday!!

    I got the card just then. They ask for your ID and the email to verify it. The "personalised card" is just a paper card with your name written on it. Nothing g personalised about that…

    34 WA
    32 QLD & N QLD
    30 ACT
    26 NSW
    24 VIC

    So, when your local temp hits the week’s target (check deal has been unlocked by clicking on deal link), head into your local restaurant with your Meatwave card for a free burger or other great stuff.

      Do they say how they will judge the temperature? By a thermometer in the restaurant or the BOM website? Forecasted temperature for Sydney is 27 tomorrow.

        Probably BOM - needs to be objective observation, but it's up to them to "unlock" offer in your state not just in that store.

        And depends WHERE the observation for your region is taken… assuming will be Capital, but which city for North Queensland (if more than 1 city has stores)??

        And is the deal only available when the temperature exceeds the target? If I wait for the offer to unlock, go to Grill'd, but it clouds over & temperature drops for a while, will I still get the offer?? (BOM updates every 10 minutes. Temp dropped 0.3C in last 20 minutes.)

        Your area of map in deal link changes from grey to red when unlocked.

        My digital thermometer shows 33 in the shade outdoors, BOM Brisbane shows 30.4C at 10am, so another 1.6C for FREE BURGER to unlock in Brissie.

    When I went to collect my card the lady didn't scan my unique code, only just looked at my ID and wrote it my name on it. Happen to anyone else? Could possibly get two cards?

      So far Sydney hasnt reached 26 yet, so for now I just hope to get the burger before the offer ends this sunday. it doesnt seem we can get to 26 this week.
