pc full tower: best deal

hi all, so ive purchased all the parts for my custom pc now i just need a tower (full tower not mid) to put it all in
i was really surprised to see how expensive they are and was wondering if anyone knew any good deals on towers or any specials.
im not too fussed about the look but id love one with a cool design if possible.

(i've already purchased a seperate PSU and so it is not required with the case)

thanks

You need a good case. Go for corsair 750D you wont regret it. Air flow is top notch, you will have very minim dust.

    • I agree with this wholeheartedly. I got mine a couple of weeks back and this is a god damn act case with everything you could want. The air flow is fantastic even with the front cover on and the filters keep a ton of dust out. The top filter is a bit too wide though. Not as fine as the front ones. The back 140mm fan pushes out a ton of air too.
The only thing is that I was able to scratch it easily. That's just cos I'm clumsy though.

Additionally, if you get the NZXT Hue for lighting up the inside, the LED strip goes around the inside of the case PERFECTLY. Its not too short and its not too long. No overload or running out. It ends exactly where it started.

This is the best case I've used to date and I highly recommend it. $230 or so at PCCG. Fantastic for the price.

Alternatively, if you want a short but wider case, look at the Corsair Air 540. Its like a cube. Lots of airflow and its like cheating for cable management. Separate compartment for the PSU and any water cooling parts. Both have that beautiful window to show off the internals.

  • HAF X.

  • Do you need a PSU too? There are a few good deals on cases with included PSUs.

  • Coolermaster K350/K380 or CFI DIABLO XT, both are pretty cheap.

  • Aerocool XPredator was the one i had, its pretty good with airflow… though that means a crap load of dust… Its also only $149 at PCCG and most other stores i think

Scratch that… Price depends on colours

  • yeah i forgot to mention i have already purchased a seperate PSU and so it is not required with the case.
    thanks for your answers

  • whats the budget actually

found a sub 100 full tower

  • ok so ive deduced it to either

"Thermaltake VN300M1W2N Chaser MK-I Full Tower Case No PSU' $155

    or

corsair CC750D (as you guys suggested) $209

i think in appearance the thermaltake looks a bit cooler and is less expensive but im not too sure if it has airflow as good as the corsair or if the difference in airflow between the two will make much of a difference.
any more opinions before i go out and buy one?

shipping is pretty expensive online so im going to go to MSY to buy one unless i find a good deal online

  • If noise is an issue for you, I have had really good results in the past by using the reviews at http://www.silentpcreview.com/ as a guideline.

  • Don't buy a case just because someone else thinks it's good. It very hard to recommend a case for someone else. Deciding on the "best" case for you comes down to many factors. How many hdds are you running, how many racks will youneed? Do you want removalable rack mounts to improve airflow? What gpu are you using? How long is it? Will it fit in the case. Are you buying an aftermarket CPU cooler? How high is it? Is the case wide enough to accommodate it? Do you like to have a side window or a side fan? Do you need extra space for a radiator?

Personally I found a mid tower had more than enough space for my rig. I ended up getting a HAF XM which had everything I needed and was a very well featured case for the $99 price tag.

  • For real cheap you could use some retired IBM tower server cases.
