yes, i remembered paying $2.50 for picking up.
Well, that earlier offer must not have been too popular…
so - being a competitive business - they's sweetened the deal.
ALWAYS let people know when you think a fee (for a "freebie") is outrageously high, considering the time & vehicle costs associated with driving yourself to K-Mart to pickup the photos.
That's how -this- version of the deal became a "true freebie" - at least for folks who live near enough not to need a mail-out.

Wonder if this offer will still be good in a month's time (when I return from my overseas trip)?
Get some "thank you" prints made up to take with you and add messages to the back for ppl you meet / help you along the way :) I use pics I've taken of Perth / beach / etc, edit them in PowerPoint with a title and save as JPEG. Easy done and they come in handy while traveling!
And… Radio Hams can use them as "QSL cards" (ie, to verify contacts with other Hams, typically from far overseas), eg, showing one's rooftop antennas &/or radio gear or - more likely, these days - something interesting in their area, to attract tourist visits (& $$$'s, for local businesses… ;-)

If you want to promote something, that takes time listing URL's, etc., eg:
Just make a nice, easy to read PowerPoint image (eg, listing URL's for Kirk Sorensen's TED talk; Prof Dr Eduardo Greaves' YouTube talk & the name of the tiny, cost-free Android app, that plays the "Thorium Remix" [2011?] video, without needing to keep a copy of this 2 hour video on your low-storoage-capacity device), & get it printed onto each of the 50 (or more) deal-offered photos.
Another application:
I guess you could also use them to invite folks to a child's (or your own) Birthday Party, etc. (including a photo of the Birthday person, & details of when & where the party will be.
Easily handed out in the classroom or at lunch, etc. :-)
I'm not quite clear on how to get 2 sets of 50 photos (each)… offered here.

1 set of 50 free by taking a USB stick full of pic's to K-Mart ( Free ); &
1 set of 50 pic's to be uploaded, & later sent by Post (for the $ 2.40 fee).

Picked up my 50 free prints from the store just then pretty happy with the quality!
Just picked up my photos. Quality OK but quite a bit of the edges missing (about 5mm) compared to the proofs/uploads. Next time I will include a white border or choose that option if available.
