I bought the TV from this post:

It's a Smart TV so I was hoping to get BBC iPlayer working on it. The native BBC app isn't present (out of region I guess) but even worse I can't play BBC iPlayer episodes through the web browser on it.
I've tried setting the DNS servers on the TV to those used by services that work around geolocation blocks (Tunlr, Unlocator etc.) but no joy. I've even forced all DNS traffic from the set through to them by using iptables on my router just in case they have some hard-coded DNS servers in place and still no luck.
Anyone got any ideas as to what else I can try? Or anywhere I can ask the question and get some knowledgable replies?
