The app gives you a weather forecast for your hair. I took it with me while I was travelling over the xmas break, and it was quite accurate.

THE SCIENCE:
Hair Alert has classified the local weather into five 'Hair Alert Level's. Each level describes the severity of the effect of the weather on your hair (depending on your hair type).

Hair Alert Level 2 (Moderate): Good Hair Day
Hair Alert Level 3 (High): Some Frizz
Hair Alert Level 4 (Very High): Light Frizz
Hair Alert Level 5 (Extreme): Unmanageable

  Damn, it requires iOS 7.0 or later. I guess my armpits will have to stay frizzed. I was so looking forward to my 3 hourly updates during the night.

  Damn!!!! It's either this or the app that notifies you whenever your phone battery is reaching 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1%
  They are both $0.99!!!! Hard choice!!!

  Oh, and let's not forget there's another that lets you know if you will need a big or a small umbrella for the day, but I think the price on that one just went back up to $1.99….

  Given how the quality of the commercial news has deteriorated these days I can see the weathergirls starting to report these alert levels as a "value-added service for the community" ;-)

  looking at other Apps made by this developer, I'm amazed they made / released this one.

  I guess after all it is just a weather App with a twist.
