"up to 175 lumens"? Party like it's 2007!
And AA batteries? This is way old tech that belongs in the supermarket electrical section.
Sorry to be a downer, but a modern emitter like the XM-L with Li-Ion battery craps on this.
The price does not reflect the age of the technology. Ask yourself why they are dumping them via CoTD?When did the P7 start taking AA batteries?
Sorry, AAA - even worse for dollars, grams and hours per watt.
NiMH is better than the supplied alkalines, but still bulky, heavy, expensive and awkward to recharge, compared to a single 18650.
agreed, get some serious torch for this $$$ on Bangood or something similar
that's only your personal opinon, a lots of people preferred AA/AAA battery, and 100-150 lm is perfect because of good runtime while still bright enough.
I have several banggood torches and this one, and this one craps all over the banggood ones IMHO. Although I don't rememember the lumens being lower.. Maybe I have a different model shrugs
Yeah perhaps it is not as bright but I bet it is a lot more reliable than any Banggood torch.
I use the Maglite led torch that takes 3 AAAs. Dropped it many times, had it in the shower many times, whacked it against metal by mistake - works like day one.
The cheap torches from Banggood, Deal Extreme etc seem to always loose connection, not full waterproof or just badly made.
Mind you I never had a LED Lenser before…
sure, and 10%-20% the price delivered.
This thread has rekindled my want for another torch (not that i need another)…
Thinking the Terralux TLF-1C1AAJust sold out!
ended up with a Ultrafire UF-H2B for < $40
paid $60 at aussie disposal in 2012…
great torch
