Thanks, needed one of these, free del and Flybuys.

  • No timer function is a deal breaker for us, was actually going to go get one until we found this out :(

it doesn't have facebook on it either but does it make a difference to how it cooks?

and yes it does have a timer built into it, you just cant use the timer without turning on the microwave, if you want a timer go buy a free standing timer from ebay for $2.32 including delivery

      • Our current Microwave is around 18 years old and has a timer function (also still cooks fine). Both my partner and I use it. You'd think such a basic option would be standard in most microwaves but clearly not.

    • Not even when you set the time, press Power 0 and then Start? That used to work with my old microwave.

My microwave from 10 years ago was like this. I never used it because even with zero power, the light would come on, the carousel would spin and the exhaust fan would fire up.
No timer is a deal breaker for me

  • Just purchased one, Appliances online has it for $203, and they are normally the cheapest when it comes to whitegoods.

Now I am worried though, What do you mean by no timer Ingram?

    • Timer is just like setting an alarm. Use it for timing when to start cooking something for example.

      • Oh, I see when you want a delayed start. Fortunately, I do not need that.

      • Thanks guys;) No need for that with me. I would never use it.

I want quick gratification from my microwave!;)

This shows the timer button I think …??

  • Have had one of these for about a year. Works OK.

  • Thanks for the deal. This was pretty popular last time it was posted on ozbargain in March 2011 for $129 https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/41357

Free delivery seals the deal on such a big item

  • These things come up half price every few months it seems. Mine is still going strong years later

  • PLEASE explian … still a bit confused. Are you who don't like the "no timer" thingo talking about forward planning?

I am really hoping you don't mean that I can set it for say '5 mins medium high', go away and come back??

    • Dont worry, they are talking about forward planning and delayed start.
Basic microwave functions such as cooking for 5 minutes @ 80% power, etc works as expected.

  • OZbargin did it again lol Got something I don't need, 2 Microwaves in my house already, though they aren't new. Someone help me I'm Sick lol

    • I was like you a few months back too. However, I have learned to think carefully before following the other buyers on this site. How? If you have one and it is still working then you don't need another (your oldie may outlast/perform-better-than the new). Or just think that every time you don't buy something you get richer. =) Don't get carried away by your eyes; only buy things you Really Need.

    • My grandpa warren buffet once told me how to control yourself in ozbargain "if you buy things you don't need, you will soon sell things you need"

  • Just so people are aware, I was looking for a microwave recently but the reason I didn't go for the Breville one in the end was because it requires a minimum of 30cm clearance above it and 7.5cm either side of it. Basically it's only good as a bench top microwave but I have a cavity that it needs to sit in. http://www.breville.com.au/media/mediaappearance/13309/BMO30… (page 15)

  • I'm looking for a new microwave…our 6 year old Panasonic inverter died Christmas Day!

I looked at Breville, but have crossed them off my list because there seem to be quite a few reviews indicating that they only last 1 to 2 years with moderate use (including other microwave models).

Maybe I should take the reviews with a grain of salt though…
