I appreciate you posting it up but this isn't really much of a deal. Only $150 RRP (http://www.sony.com.au/product/prs-t3) and given recent offers of 2000points for a $100 jb card this put the retail value of around 3500 points at rec retail, and what know what that means at JB ;)

its not really a good deal~ not sure why ur posting this~~ i think it shoudl be in forums

This is a horrible deal. You are better off getting giftcards. Plus most of the stuff Coke is offering is outdated technology which you can find for sale elsewhere.

  • Whilst the actual deal isn't great I'm sure they wouldn't get flamed if this was a PS3.

      o rly?
there wasn't exactly a lot of love when i posted it: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/126919 ;)

you'd think people would have got tired of posting the same played-out obesity/cancer/tooth decay comments, or the questions about how coke rewards works when all the details are on their website.

for someone who's never had to buy coke to get the tokens, i see all the stuff on coke rewards as OMG FREE :)

      • True, i had the same thing when i posted the ps3.

I meant more about the negging on this post.

If people say this is a deal because you can get it for free, then I'll start posting every single Coke Rewards product, just because each and every one is a deal on its own….

I'm sorry, but this is not a deal. This is just an expensive product (token-wise) that is part of a promotion and it should go in the forums.

    • If people say this is a deal because you can get it for free, then I'll start posting every single Coke Rewards product

i wouldn't object. in fact, it'd make a great first contribution by you to OzBargain ;) coke rewards seem to add new items there rather irregularly and it's nice to get a heads up when something new pops up.

i don't recall people getting into a neg frenzy over the JB hifi, woolworths or coles gift cards that were posted recently.

if all coke rewards posts belong in the forums only, i reckon the mods know what to do.

      • Dont you get it, this is ozbargain. Not a coke reward notification website. He didnt say that all coke reward product belong in the forum. He said this deal should go in the forum because it is an expensive product (value for token-wise).

You dont see people negging JB hifi or coles and myer gift card beause they are good value for token wise. There is a reason those gift card deal sold out fast while these crappy electronic product stay on the site for forever.

        • if something new from coke rewards pops up that someone out there thinks is a bargain, they ought to post it and then we'll decide if it's a bargain or not. (i'm not exactly crazy about this e-reader or home theatre system either)

i've also noticed that the most those gift cards have gone for is 4000 tokens ($200 jb hifi card, correct me if i'm wrong there) so naturally, the lower the amount of tokens required, the faster it sells out. i don't even want to think of how long it would take to accumulate 8900 tokens for that home theatre system.

and before started typing this reply, this hasn't been moved to the forums yet…
