Found this in the clearance bin at BigW Forest Hill, there was a bunch more in there too. Label said $10 but when they rang it up at the checkout it was only $5.00!

Yeah but this one comes with a huge printout of the tech tree and civ perks.
Its always nice to own it in a physical form and for $5 why not! Just took issue with the $35 price quoted for steam.
and for the 'bandwidth impaired' its installed off the disk and not a potentially lengthy download :)
Still need to register on steam and download some whopping large patches/updates

though agree with the above - hardcopy is………reassuring. it's like you are actually getting something for your money.
I used to think it was reassuring too, until I realised I lost more discs than I lost online accounts.
well serial numbers activate on steam so i guess its the best of both worlds.
or if what you where reassured against was losing access to the game.. if steam disappears then you cant install it :/ so maybe not.
That's until you find your disc is cracked (eg. My Frozen Throne disc…no idea how that happened, thankfully Battle.net enabled me to still play the game legitimately).
