$0 Dodo Plush Toy ($5 Postage)

16
GETBIRD

Just received the following email from DoDo.

"To thank you for your continued loyalty throughout 2013, we'd like to offer you a Dodo plush toy as our gift to you*. Simply follow the link below, purchase the plush toy and enter the Coupon Code: GETBIRD
when you checkout. *$5 Postage & Handling Fee Applies"

To DoDo-fan, this is good.
To me, I'd prefer the following (even if it is much more expensive)

    Dodo fans don't exist.

    • Haha, exactly what I was going to say.

  • "To DoDo-fan, this is good."

    That's a very, very limited market right there… :)

  • If it was a 45cm Dodo, then maybe, but it looks like its pretty small.

$5 for a Do Do Voodoo Doll…..frickin WORTH every cent.

Now to find a deal on a FlameThrower.

Giving customers the bird is never good policy methinks!

  • I think this must be the leftovers from their marketing department….

    • +2

They give them away at the NBL. There are literally hundreds thrown away at the end of the night when kids turf them over the grandstand sides…

Paying to receive marketing products from a shit ISP is a bargain??

    • +2

I know, how is this a bargain? This show be free…

    • +8

Agreed, paying to receive marketing is definitelly not a bargain.

      • I agree, but try telling that to the fanbois

    • +3

they should be PAYING us to take this promo item! DoDo do? just like the extinct bird DoDo DONE!

  • +3

If its a gift Dodo should be paying the postage.

If you give Dodo your phone number you will be receiving an endless stream of phone calls from auto-diallers and telemarketers. The price is not even good, you could buy a similar unbranded toy for less at a junk store. I could also get one for $2 at the skilltester in my local shopping centre. :)

Here is a gift for you… now give me $5

    Come off the grass dodo

  • I got this email too for my "continued loyalty throughout 2013".
I had prepaid mobile broadband with them for 2 months in early 2012.

  • In my email, they said i could pick one up for free from any Dodo connect kiosks listed below (have to quote your customer id)

    http://retail.dodo.com/connect-stores/

    • In the email they said each kiosk only gets 50 of them, so be quick. Though the bloke at Chadstone Dodo kiosk where I got my rather miserable free dodo bird (it's tiny) said they got 100s of them.

  • I actually received an email from dodo saying i can pick up one for free at dodo connect kiosk. I have electricity with them.
I guess it makes up for the price rise email I received from them a week or so ago! Thanks!

    • That's what they want you to think! Blasphemy I say! BAH! ;)

You're paying for a company's merchandise? Tell em' they're dreaming.
Only revoke neg when you can pick up for free/free ship all over AU

  • this deal reminds me of spike jonze from the reminiscing scene in the movie 'three kings'

  • +1

they want us to pay for there advertising? something fundamentally wrong there……

even if they posted it to you for free it would hardly qualify as a "deal" being they are such a horrible company to have to deal with…..
