        o.O

Webcred? lol, I just edited, partly anyway. It wasn't a dedicated thread, just a post in the current NNID thread in games forum.

        • I don't visit the forums, I trust you hardcore bargainers to bring to light various things to my attention with posting here.

          Now I suppose I need a good deal on a 3ds…

  • So you need both a Wii U and 3DS?

    • No.

      • Looks like you do need the Wii U and 3DS. Don't think it works just for 3DS owners - http://www.polygon.com/2013/12/18/5224724/nintendo-uk-offers…

        • Your link says you need a 3ds and need to register for a new account or use an existing one from a Wii U. Doesn't look like the Wii U is a requirement…just create a new account.

        • My bad, I've figured it out. For those with a 3DS only you need to update your software and open the Miiverse app to create a Nintendo Network ID. I thought you could only create a Nintendo Network ID with the Wii U.

          Here's instructions on how to do it on a 3DS - http://www.tomsguide.com/us/how-to-miiverse-3ds,news-17966.h…

Wish they would do things like this for the Wii U

    • …it also works if you register a WiiU, so what do you mean?

      • +1

But isn't the game only for 3DS?

        • +1

          Correct.

Yeah would like to see a few of their titles being in a little promo like this, would be neat.

        • +4

Yeah, it is annoying when they do these free games just for the 3DS and not Wii U. Also I wish some of these games released on 3DS I wish they released on the Wii U also. Like when they released Gargoyles Quest only on the 3DS, I was not too happy when I found out it was not for Wii U also.

There really does need to be some promos for the Wii U. The Wii U's sales are already low, doing something like this for it would help boost it just that little bit extra.

  • I wonder how this works for me? I have my own account on my XL and WiiU registered to my email. Them I have my son's account on his own XL and the WiiU registered to same email address (different NNID though) then I have my daughters set up the same way as well. Three NNID's all registered to different 3DS systems but my same email address.

  • Huh, thought it was Europe only. Glad we get something for once.

    Guess I automatically qualify, sweet.

I bought a 2DS and its registered. Would it still work for me? Because I'm planning to get Bravely Default soon near Christmas(hoping Ebgames/Target/Kmart/Bigw would have it cheaper.. :( )

    • I too would like to know this because Eb sold me a 2ds and pokemon telling me I would get Mario for free

      • Registration of the Nintendo Network ID on the 2DS should allow you to get the free game.

If EB sold you the 2DS on the condition that you would falsely be eligible for Mario 3D Land, then you can threaten them with s18 of the ACL (misleading or deceptive conduct).

I've already registered a NNID through my 3DS after downloading the 3DS update on 10/12/2013 (& before knowing about this). Did anyone get a confirmation email or anything for this promo? Apart from the NNID setup email, of course. Or is it just a case of "wait 'til Feb & hope to receive the code"?

    • +1

It's for anyone who registered from Miiverse launch until Jan 31st so it should be fine! They don't send confirmation codes about the promo, just expect an emailed code in Feb ^^

  • Registered my 3DS XL + Pokemon Y ^__^

Has anyone got the code yet, or we all get it in Feb ?

  • Also registered my 3DS XL with Pokémon Y. Still working in AUS as far as I can tell. No codes due until 14th Feb.

Just realised - the title of this post isn't correct (or am I going crazy?!). Isn't it for 'Super Mario 3D Land' - not Super Mario Deluxe. Amend title please.

    • No, that's another promotion you're thinking about.
