i just want it for my brother who only plays Fifa,he can later put a bigger HDD if he needs more space,no?

      • +1

True, but there are some good PS3 120GB deals around (or will be), and it will work out cheaper than buying a 2nd HHD.

        • could you show me one please?Cause I need it for xmas present.
I'm not being sarcastic, I'm just looking for the best deal ps3+fifa14

        • If you need one for Xmas then this is probably your best bet, if you want FIFA.
My comment was to suggest that next year, PS3 120GB will be around this price range.

Yep, You can get the caddy for about $5 off ebay (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/PS3-Super-Slim-Hard-Disk-Drive-HD…)

        HDD from umart.

        500GB - $55-$65
        1TB - $80-$90

As for this deal. I think this has now become the normal price.
JBHiFi has a similar deal as well. (different game though)

plus this deal is already active from the other week.

        • don't confuse this deal with the previous one, this deal starts 19/12, the one you posted is already out of stock plus the link you posted (that starts 12/12) was already active(not really, different deal) from the week before 5/12 here

Unless you are going to be moving your ps3 around you probably don't 'need' a caddy.. I stuck mine in place with sticky tape which all ended up falling apart but it still works fine!
Also installation is as simple as sliding off a plastic panel, no screws at all!

Why would you need to buy a mounting bracket (caddy) when you can just use the one that comes with the system when you swap the HDD?

        • +1

because the t1000 screwed my caddy in

        • +1

The new slim 12GB ones don't come with a caddy, the harddrive bay is empty and the 12GB is actually flash memory soldered into the circuit boards.

        • So you definitely need a caddy to install a HDD ? I have a 750GB in my useless PS3 (now an expensive BR player that once played games) that I can install in the new console.
I wouldn't even consider buying another PS3 piece of garbage, but I have too many games not too. Been burnt by two consoles now - both stopped playing games after minimal use, and after reading about issues, it's common. Will avoid Sony after the next buy, that's for sure.

  • Is this a good deal? I am planning to buy a PS3 but not sure if I should wait for a better deal.

    • got a red one today from target rockdale with fifa 14, before going there I got 2x$50 coles myer cards(2 different amex cards registered) for $60 from liquorland ;) very happy with my purchase
