who cares, its free!
I can give you lists of free apps that are just junks. You don't want junk apps even if they are paid ones. So don't say who cares, ppl don't want junk app just because they are free, ppl want apps that are worth the time and the downloading.
It measures how much extra money you spend on bargains.
It shows you pie charts of how you spend on things!
Looks cool (though I wonder if we're the customer or the product - like with Facebook… imagine the data these guys could collect and sell about people's spending habits…).
I use Pocketbook - the one that's been doing posts on the OzBargain's facebook page. It's better because it directly imports my bank transactions - check that one out - https://getpocketbook.com
Oh and Aussie guys
Err… so you give these guys permission to see your every bank transaction?
Looks nice but there is definitely an inherent security risk here. Ask your bank if who is liable if you give your username, password and account details out (even if they store them "securely")!
"At no time do we ask you for information that would be required for a hacker to steal your identity, such as your full name, account or card numbers, or your physical address."
Err, except when Pocketbook asks for your identity details and passwords (which a hacker may use to access your accounts):
"Your bank account and credit card numbers are stored securely. Your information may be seen by technical personnel…"
"Your online banking usernames and passwords are never displayed after you enter them during your first session."
https://getpocketbook.com/security/faqI wouldn't give my bank IDs and passwords to my accountant if he said he would never write it down and would produce a pretty report for me in return. Risk can only be greater with this.
Retrieve your banking transactions yourself and then load them into a budgeting product if you want to work more safely.
I'm a regular contributor to AppHookup so I see every new app that goes free; Spendee is just one of many good apps today that has dropped for 24 hours (e.g. WordBox (https://itunes.apple.com/au/app/id674669080) is usually $5.50, and it's one of the best text editors I've come across).
Would people be interested if I compiled all the free apps every day into one post, submitted daily?
I recommend using AppShopper.com or their app daily. Great way to regularly get free apps. Spendee is listed there.
On a simialr note, are there any spending (or budget) apps that people would recommend that sync across multiple devices (ie for family use)?
I've used EEBA for a while but it's not very user friendly.
I built an enormous spreadsheet in Google docs to track the budget.
Multi device, multi user, can be done pretty easily with countif, sumif and vlookup.Put up a template for him to see the value.
This is no longer free :(
what does it do, though?
