Not sure if this qualifies as a bargain, but if not at least it may be useful to anyone who just picked up a PS Vita in EB's recent sale and want to keep their new toy shiny when it arrives. This has gone down from $30 on Tuesday, and it is cheaper than Harvey Norman's $32, The Good Guys $34 and EB's amazing price of $39.95.

As usual for Dick Smith, stock is fairly limited but there do seem to be a few stores with stock in most cities.

    This is a great price compared to anywhere in the world, for the official starter kit.

    Its more heavy duty then then case/pouch offered in the starter kit, but I paid approx $35 to have my case delivered from amazon.

    If you are careful with your vita the starter kit should be all you need.

    I use a $6 soft case from ebay. Works really well, and has room to store other things like a usb cable.

    I don't trust hard cases, especially like the one snakes bought. If you drop that, I doubt it will protect your vita from the impact.

    Did anybody receive the starter kit?

    I placed an order on the 7th @ $30 from their ebay store and still hadn't received it on the 17th so I sent them a please explain message.

    I checked today to see a refund on my purchase with no communication on what was the issue. Not happy Jan!

      I've never received any form of communication from Dick Smith aside from walking in their stores. That is, no email or any other form of human contact when requested.

      Dick does Non-Communication better than anyone.
