Bought one of the Smart 3d 55" myself a number of months ago.
They look nice enough and their quality isn't too bad at all. I find the remote a bit useless at times but better than an older Soniq I used to have.
3D works quite well.Only downfall I've really noticed is a capacitor buzz from the back when the TV is on. Usually it poses no problem when the sound is on, but if the tv is just sitting there, it can get quite annoying.
Putting it all aside, they're a step up from the other cheap brands. Would buy again.
ewww 100hz…anyway to reduce it to 50hz or is it locked on these TV's.
It needs to be at least 100 Hz to do flicker free 3D. You won't see a 3D capable TV with less than 100Hz.

Kogan are INFAMOUS for their poor quality goods AND their even poorer customer service. There is a whole Facebook page dedicated to everyone's bad experiences and pleadings for fair treatment.
Personally my family bought four TVs all at the same time and every single one developed a fault in or just after the warranty period. One of them the remote died and the replacement remote died months later as well. Warranty repair was not an easy experience they made it as difficult as possible. Two $800 TVs failed 18 to 24 months after purchase and Kogan said tough luck, would you like to buy a new one? I pressured them with the statutory warranty thing but they just ignored it and I gave up because I don't have the time to pursue it seriously.
Everyone should take the warnings about Kogan seriously, a cheap price is for nothing if the gear is crap and the seller is too.
Despite the numerous warnings about Kogan everywhere, people still buy from them.
