Some reviews of the console:
http://www.amazon.com/Flashback-Classic-Console-Not-Machine-…Just read some comments on Reddit, that the controllers are infrared and not running on 2.4 ghz signals like xbox controllers do. This means you have to point the controllers directly at the console for it to work, and second because it's IR-based wireless there is also a split second input lag introduced into the controls which may make certain games harder to play.
Shame that these aren't as good as the Flashback 2 which were 2600 on a chip
Said it before, but in case someone is new here - you can download (google it) an 'emulator' and every Atari game rom for free and play them on your PC.
Emulators are not the same thing as having a retro looking console.
That's true. With the emulator you get hundreds of games instead of 76. ;-p…
The emulator may be free but the ROMs are not. Downloading them without a licence is copyright violation.
I haven't done an extensive check, but a 10 minute one seems to indicate this is only partly true. For example, note the word "some":
"Some games are protected by the ESA and are illegal to distribute. We fully support the gaming industry, so if you really like those games, buy them! Read more at http://coolrom.com/faq.php#337xdZmtPCKpWIQM.99"
