TyreSales.com.au $50 off 4 Tyres or $25 off 2 Tyres

I recently bought tyres under the Conti buy 3 get 1 free offer (which is still running until 14 Dec btw), but as part of my research, I found tyresales' prices weren't too bad for some models. If you have found that they had the best deal for you and were going to buy through them anyway, now you can get an additional $25 or $50 off.

Note that since last week when I was doing my tyre shopping, the prices have gone up by $4-6 per tyre (for tyres in the $250-350 range - my car's got a weird size), so it looks like tyresales giveth and tyresales taketh away.

These are the prices I got last week (Wed 27/11), all for 235/50 R18
Kumho KH15 97V $224
Falken ZE912 101W $255
Kumho KU39 101Y $272
Pirelli P1 Cinturato 97W $307
Dunlop SP Sport Maxx 97W $315
Pirelli Scorpion Zero 97H? $384

May be a bargain if you were going to buy from them anyway - hope this helps someone!

yup every "deal" they (carsales not this op) have posted on here has been easily been beaten with a quick google. as far as i knew carsales/tyresales was a banned site here for its constant spamming, sockpuppeting and other offenses.

there original posts showing banned site http://www.ozbargain.com.au/user/109865/nodes

These are the prices I got last week (Wed 27/11), all for 235/50 R18 Kumho KH15 97V $224

first link i found on google for the first tyre you posted… $199 on fleabay

neg for not only being a dodgy abusive spamming site here, but also not the cheapest..

Hm, wasn't aware of <whatever>sales' behaviour - would have probably not posted if I did.

The essence of my post still stands though - if you were going to buy from them anyway, have another $25-50 off.

        • why i despise them even more than that….. is that they went down that path with IP/T&C legalities like subway did…. getting deals pulled and stopping them being posted on here… but then wen it suits themselves they decide its ok again to break there own "Intellectual Property" claims and spam up OzB with a different arm of the same company.

They claimed that we have breached carsales Network Terms, in specific:
          use of the carsales Network is for personal and non-commercial use only;
users of the carsales Network must not use or attempt to use any material published on the carsales Network to create website or publication; and
users of the carsales Network must not use any automated process of any sort of query, access or copy any material on the carsales Network or generate or compile any document or database based on the material published on the carsales Network.

some more light reading about this rather evil company herehttp://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/82355#comment-1067633

sadly this was not enough to neg this deal with…. so i had to get creative and find a legit reason to point out how horrid this joint is :) hope i didnt rain on your parade, its certainly nothing negative against you its simply pure hate for dodgysales.com.au

its just carsales way of "sourcing" you tyres (for a referral fee). Margins are reasonably tight when sales are on so the chances are if the tyres you're after are discounted, tyresales will be more expensive.

For us (ozbargainers), we'll get a better deal elsewhere.

A guy I know set up a few of the ####sales.com.au companies. I remember him asking some time ago for some advice on this particular site… to which I laughed at him!!! It was probably a bit rude at the time, but I went on to explain to him that they're talking about trying to market/sell one of the most competitively priced, lowest margined products in the country, goodluck!!!
