  • If it does what it says it does then it sounds like a good product.

I've been using EaseUS todo backup (done about 10 SSD migrations for myself, friends and family now) but it always mucks up the MBR and requires a secondary step with the windows recovery disk.

For $12, if it works, then it seems like a good purchase.

  • I have used the version (2.0) that I posted when it was free http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/54398 to migrate an OS from a RAID storage to a smaller capacity SSD. It took care of everything including disk alignment. In short, it was a doddle and I spent more time backing up the system than migrating it.

  • The migration software which came with the Samsung SSD worked like a charm, why pay for software to do that same job?

    • Because it only will work with Samsung drives

  • Huh… What's wrong with the built in windows backup software?

  • Clonezilla? Burn to disk and do the above, free
    http://clonezilla.org/

    • Clonezilla has its own limitations.

"The destination partition must be equal or larger than the source one."

  • What should I use if I wana clone my hdd for my Samsung laptop to ssd. So I want to make sure it clones everything incl recovery partition so it won't stuff up my restore defaults options

    • I used Clonezilla. I went from 160gig hard disk to 120gig SSD. Only have about 65 gig on it.
