Payday 2 sold for US30 at launch… I bought a 4 pack for $90 on Steam a couple of days after release.
This game gets pretty repetitive, Payday 2 is meant to have fixed most of the issues from the first game.
Why bother getting this for online? Will anyone be on it considering 2 has been out a while?
A) It's only 2bucks
B) The game had over 1000 concurrent peak players before this sale.
C) The content is completely different from Payday 2
I find this game to be alot more challenging than payday 2 (in a good way).
Though I disagree with samfisher's comment of being repetitive as the game is quite dynamic. Different scenarios occur on each play through be they objective variations or emery spawns.
This is an excellent coop game especially if you have some friends you regularly game with. However as a solo experience you will probably will not find alot of replay ability. My suggestion buy more than one copy and gift it to your mates.

I wish someone like DICE took the concept of Payday and improved on it. The guys that made the game executed the concept of robbing banks so poorly.

None. Got bored of robbing a single small town bank again and again.

Payday 2 is crashing rather frequently for me.
Interestingly, Payday 1 doesn't even show up on Steam's Spring Sales page, so I suspect it is a pricing error. It is extremely rare for Steam sales to be above 75%. If more people knew about this, it would be on the Best Sellers list. The game is a steal at $2.
It's discounted because Payday 2 is on the front page, just as Metro 2033 is discounted because Last Light is a Daily Deal. Or are you referring to something different?
