Fanatec RennSport Wheel Stand V2 - $99.95 ($16.08 Shipping)

160

Normally AU$169.95 + shipping (http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:4ha5G-4…)
For those who want an easy to stow wheel mount. Maybe you picked up a cheap G27 at DS the other day.

Maybe not the greatest rig available, but for those looking for an above decent one for the price I think these review quite well.

Not sure when it expires. Just found it and it says "Black Friday Special". Could be our Friday, the US's Friday, or run over the weekend.

probably a better deal for the extra $3 given it will ship from Australia.
I believe the ones direct from Fanatec will come from Europe.

I bought a CSR Wheel and Clubsport V2 Pedals from the Fanatec AU site and they arrived within the week.. So I am pretty sure they ship from AUS..

Also, personally I would prefer to cut the middle man out and go direct to Fanatec..

As for the stand itself, I haven't used one, but if your serious about getting into sim racing and have the space, then build your own rig out of PVC using the SIMUL8R Mark II plans here

If you have the basic tools, it should not cost you more then about $150-$180 to build and your body will be in the right position for racing..

Still a decent deal for the price though =)

        • Just got my shipping details and tracking number.
Mine has shipped from Endor in VIC (fanatec distributor)

Pretty happy as I will have everything ready for GT6 this weekend :-)

    • Doesn't specify "V2" on gamesmen.com. Is there any difference?

      • The gamesmen one should be a v2

Here is a photo of the V1 or original

Notice the big knobs that people probably complained about.
In the V2's that is now a smaller clamp that is tightened by two allen key head bolts.
There are other improvements, but that is the most visibly obvious one.

I just got an email saying they order is being processed.
The email mentioned Bendigo (VIC) as an address for Fanatec.
It does also mention up to three weeks to ship. My guess is someone in Bendigo is a distribution point. If they have stock it should come from them if not it will probably need to come from Germany

What is this? For Segway games?

    • +1

Not sure what a Segway game is.

This stand is compatible with the following gaming wheels according the website

      • All Fanatec Porsche racing wheels
      • CSR, CSR Elite & ClubSport Wheels
      • Logitech: Driving Force, Driving Force Pro, Driving Force GT, G25/G27
      • Thrustmaster: T500RS
      • Microsoft wireless wheel (optional adapter)
  • Is it possible to mount the shift stick on the left?

    • I know the G25/G27 shifter mount can be put on either side. I would assume the other mounts can as well.

  • This turned up yesterday.
Instructions are pretty vague, but it's not exactly hard to put together.

I must say it is as solid as a rock and heavy.
I was expecting it to be a lot lighter, but at least with the weight it isn't moving anywhere.
