  • Is this only at woolworths or does it apply to Big w
just wondering as friday ill be picking up my ps4

    • As far as I know Big W doesn't play with fuel vouchers often, but I havent done a shift at Big W for about 6 months now.

      • Sorry mate - just to clarify - the offer will still be valid on Sunday?

        • +2

          Yes

  • Purchases of Woolworths & itunes gift cards are ineligible as per terms of deal stated:

    http://www2.woolworthsonline.com.au/shop/page/fueloffers?utm…

However other gift cards are eligible. I bought a $100 Myer gift card today & got the 15c discount deal on my receipt, and earned 70 EW points. Also by paying $99 by ING card (& $1 cash) will get 5% ING rebate. Good deal if you were planning to buy gift cards anyway, like me.

A recent Woolies deal gave 20c a litre discount, but choice of eligible cards was narrow:

  • is it me only coz I receive an offer of 20c if spend $70 from this Thu till Sun

    • That's the Coles deal, I got one too…

  • Does anybody else have problems redeeming these from their card.

3 times now this year, it's only taken off 4c instead of the higher discount, even though the higher discount still appears in my account and hasn't expired…

    • Worked fine every time for me. Probably had 7 or 8 in the last 6 months.

      First in first out…
If you have numerous discounts, they will stack chronologically.
Whenever I have a voucher stored on my card and I receive a bigger discount, I opt to not flash my woolies card so I can print out the reciept with a hard copy of the voucher for use next time I fill up.

I see that you need to scan your card to receive the discount, so they must of changed this.
There is also a delay of 7-14 days for the discount to appear.

It's actually ordered by the highest discount first, then chronologically. So if you get a 15c one, it goes straight to the top (once it's available) if it's the highest discount, then your other ones are ordered firstly by discount then by expiry.

        • In theory, that's how it should work, but as I said, it doesn't always work as it should.

      • There is also a delay of 7-14 days for the discount to appear.

My discounts appear almost instantly. I view them on the iphone App. All 3 times, I had a 15c discount sitting on top of the queue, but at the register, it only came up with a 4c discount and my 15c remained in the account, unused.

  • How are these vouchers provided to you when shopping online?

I've made a few orders over $100 but can't see anything to indicate that I have a fuel voucher…

    • Check your Everyday Rewards account online. If you have an unused discount voucher it will show under Rewards/Fuel Vouchers in your account.

    • It's a bit temperamental when purchasing online in my experience. But if you enter your rewards card online, it should work, albeit it may take up to a week for the voucher to activate.

  • I've never found a caltex that offers the discount on LPG, has anyone else?

    • LPG is not covered by the promotion unfortunately.

Some do allow discount offer on lpg, use outlet locator:

      http://apps.nowwhere.com.au/woolworths/petrol/default.aspx

Type in your postcode & state to get a list of nearby outlets. Click on outlet addresses to find ones offering discount lpg.

I searched on postcode 2000 & got 5 outlets. Only the first outlet Surry Hills says YES under Discount LPG tab. The other 4 are blank, so guessing no lpg discount for them.

      • Thanks very much for that. Put in my postcode and found one out of the five near me offer the discount on LPG :D

        • No worries, hope you can save some money!

      • I checked 7 c/ws near me and every single one has LPG discount: yes. Luck of the draw I guess..

    • Yup, Doveton Vic, accepts discounts on LPG. Its awesome when I have a 20c off…

I'm very pissed with Woolies at the moment. I did a big shop 3 weeks ago and my receipt showed that I had a $.43/l discount docket applied to my card - was a pleasant surprise. I logged on to my everyday rewards account to make sure it was there and then went out to get fuel (closest servo is 25 minute drive away)

When I filled up and paid, the discount was only $.15/l which I thought was strange given they usually apply the biggest discount first. I logged in to ER account when I got home and found my $.43 had been changed to a $.15 - and promptly redeemed - which is also odd because they will normally use the oldest docket first when you have multiples of the same value (which I have a number of the $.15)

I fired off an email to ER customer support and was notified that there was a "system error" with the dockets and the "issue had now been resolved" - yes, by taking away my discount and burning through my latest coupon. Not really resolved as far as I'm concerned.

So, I hope it was worth it Woolies - I haven't shopped with you for 3 weeks and don't plan on doing it again in the near future. Coles has given me a $.40/l coupon the last 3 weeks, and it's right on the docket so no one is going to "resolve" that issue.

@cajamian - you should be aware of this "resolution" and crappy response has encouraged me to shop elsewhere. Worth thinking about the impacts of these sorts of things - I realise there's nothing you can do about it but that "store rep" banner is like a red cape to a bull for me

      and crappy response

yes, there customer support is useless. I sent them emails with screenshots of my discount on their website, sent them a copy of the receipt from the servo. They then replied asking for "the receipt from the servo" WTF… I replied I had already sent it in the first email and never heard back from them again…

if you complain at the servo, they just say "It's not our problem, we are Caltex, not Woolworths", even though there is a huge 'Woolworths' sign above the entrance door and on the price board outside…

    • I'll preface by saying I'm just a service supervisor.

Firstly, the everyday rewards system is exceptionally difficult for staff to use when something goes wrong. There's generally only one person who knows how to edit or fix rewards cards problems in store, so 99% of the time we just have to call the rewards card centre. And yes, I know they can be exceptionally frustrating.

I'm sorry to hear about what happened.

  • Can you get the 15 c/l discount buying over $100 in a BWS store?
