Sunbeam Verve 68 $39 RRP $119 (I Think) $69 at Target Minus $30 Cash Back Equals $39 [ Out of Stock Online]

500

Target has the Sunbeam Verve 68 on special at 40% off which finishes tonight and then in conjunction Sunbeam have a cash back offer of $30 on this model which ends later in December.

The wife needed a new iron so I went looking and although I did like the Tefal offer someone else mentioned (which I may jump on also) I couldn't resist this iron at $39.

link for cash back https://sunbeampromo.micash.com.au/Register.aspx
which has been previously listed http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/123571

Unfortunately you will have to jump on quick if you want it as the Target sale ends tonight. (it is available online)

First post so feel free to ridicule and poke fun of me and my deal.

How many people clicked in here thinking 'What's a Verve, and do I need one?"

    • ^ YES, THAT!

Good price. Good iron. Heavy enough as an iron ought to be.

  • how does this compare to the philips azur irons?

    • Azurs are pretty light. Some people like it that way.

Very good price, it was recommended by Choice as number one in their 2012 review

But important for those must have latest, power ironers, it has been superseded by the 6850. :)

Is Iron technology really increasing so much that people feel a need to upgrade every year? I still don't feel the need to own one, if I really need my undies warmed up in winter I preheat the oven, open it and drop my undies on the glass (with the oven turned off) 2 minutes each side and they are toastie….. That's what an iron is for right? To warm up undies so unmentionables are snug.

      • I think the main advantage of iron over microwave is that you can warm up the undies without taking them off. In case of accident at least you get roasted nuts.

        • No sausage?

  • Fantastic iron, i have one myself. Paid about $70 new so this is a good buy.

  • i will get in trouble if i buy this for my wife

    • Wimp. I just did.
      Free postage as well.

plenty of stock at Target Belconnen (ACT). It's worth a visit to a store if you really want it

The price had been taken off the shelf when we were there. The kids were putting sale signs all over the store.

This must be the worse iron man has ever created. That's why it's being cleared out, for this price you can't complain much.

  • Thanks OP (does that mean original poster?), Picked up the display one of these (so 10% off too, ye hoo in Sydney just before shops shut at 10pm)!! Have been needing one for a long time now, mum will be happy!! :)

Managed to get the Display item from Target for the SR6800 which was marked down to $69.00 (RRP $129.00) Got 10% Discount for the display item bringing it down to $ 62.00

Minus the $ 30 cashback, it ends up at $ 32.00 for a very nice iron. Irons brilliantly.

Wow thanks OP… actually got this because of the 40% off but didn't know about the casback offer… OzBargain is number One.
