Not a refurbishes notebook - The device is 2 years old, therefore far from being a bargain at this price

    • Are you sure it's two year old?

      • -2

Yep, released in 2011 - Best tablet to buy until N10 was released.
        1 year for a tablet is a lifetime !!

          I beg to differ
this tablet was available around July 2012, from wikipedia and an anandtech review

also known as the Asus Transformer Pad Infinity

You may have it confused with another Transformer. The TF700T has only been available a little over a year, I know I had one.

However you are right - it's not the best performing tablet. Suffers horribly if anything else is touching the flash while you are trying to do something. A real pity as the hardware is otherwise very nice.

At this price though, it represents good value if someone has been thinking of getting the transformer.

It is not the newest Transformer Pad Infinity 701T model, but it was released in 2012. It doesn't carry the crazy res of its successor, but it is FHD at the very least.

Also 1 year for a tablet is far from a lifetime… iPad 3rd Gen was released more than a year ago yet still holds strong with retina display and runs iOS7.

          $674 at TGG.

        • You're right - released in 2012, anyway $449 for an almost obsolete device is not a bargain. If you have one that's fine, but to buy a new one in Dec 2013 for $449 is not a bargain. Set aside this is a refurbished unit.

  • Not a bad buy but would probably still opt for N10.

  • Seems quite expensive for something that is

    1. Refurbished
    2. Over a year old
    3. From an online dealer (I would prefer walking into DSE or GG for warranty/instant picked/paywave etc)
