Miele S4812 Hybrid (Cordless/Corded) Vacuum $599 Mieleshop.com.au

50

I have a cordless Dyson and a normal Miele vacuum. I also have three kids and need to get rid of a sandpit.

Anyway, that provides some context for why I think this looks like a good deal. This model is A few years old, but Miele vacuums normally get good reviews.

The order I put through was given a free set of bags and free delivery (to Perth).

  • Description doesn't load well on mobile site for those that need:

Miele S4812 Hybrid offers complete freedom of movement. The first compact domestic vacuum cleaner to run on either mains or battery power. Utilising Lithium-ion technology, it is always ready with battery power which eliminates the need to be within reach of sockets - perfect for vacuuming the car or dealing with little mishaps like spilt sugar efficiently. When the battery capacity is near depletion, simply plug the Miele Hybrid into the power socket and vacuum uninterrupted. The battery will be charged while vacuuming is in progress.

For inquiring minds that wish to know:
The battery takes about 4 hours to fully charge from empty and lasts about 10 mins using full suction.
It appears the battery is builtin, and thus not replaceable.

"The duration of battery operation depends on the power setting which can offer between 11 and 20 minutes of vacuum cleaning. 11 minutes equates to more than 90 m2 of flooring, a full car interior, more than 100 stairs or a linear distance of 330 metres.*"
