So I'm assuming you're not vision impaired and capable of reading. If not - take no offence in the below.
The problem with audiobooks though is that someone else builds the story for you. You don't get the experience of building characters in your own mind, with you own applied personality. Not to the same extent as watching the film version of a book, but similar. I also enjoy audiobooks, but I'm pretty sure that for every audiobook I've heard I have also first read the book. Listening to the audiobook then gives another personality to a book.
I've also rarely bought a physical book for a long time, but I still enjoy doing the reading for myself.
Hmmm….strange. My experience is opposite to yours. I appreciate a book less reading it compared to listening to it. In fact, listening to a book is more enjoyable to watching a movie. Perhaps my brain is wired differently to yours. Last night, I was listening to the latest Jason Bourne with a beer in hand under dimmed lights. Perfect Sunday evening.
Different strokes for different folks I guess!
That's awesome. Pity I have no way of making it to Campberwell. Campbellfield however…
I grabbed the ….
LOL first read this as grabbed and run, hence free (outside the store etc)
Yeah waiting for someone to be like "Five Finger Discounts are not a Bargain" :P (neg) haha
Damn it I want this book to. I guess I'll just have to buy it :P

This sounds like the sort of deal most shops in Frankston do every week!!! Unwillingly! ;)
Slim pickings left
It has been some years since I bought a physical book for reading pleasure since I started listening to audio books. Matthew Reilly is a really good Aussie young writer and I have almost all his books on audio. Sean Mangan has a wonderful voice. Plus it is quicker/easier to buy and download audio books on internet than at bookshops.
