I've got $19 of credit left on my pre-paid which will expire in a day or two. What are my options? Can I just send it through to my partner and the expiration date will be extended on it?

credit me2u will extend $10 (per 24 hours) credit for 14 days. Costs 25c per transfer. Get her to transfer $1 to you, then you can transfer all/some of the credit.
what cap are you on? what was your last recharge/cap plan?
creditme2u works but credit can roll over and on andriod mobiles the credit can be used to pay for app's from the google/app/store, all the apps on my mobile are now the full version by doing this.

you (could) change to the yearly cap, recharge $60 for a 12 month credit and then change to the simplicity, you get cheap calls and text but the yearlong recharge so no loss off credit with MUCH better rates.. lots of choices
Not sure about Telstra, but with Optus prepaid, expiry date remains the same after transfer.
