  I am curious why it needs the following special access to my phone:
  Phone calls - read phone status and identity

    Maybe it needs to be able to detect when your phone is about to ring so it can perform a game quicksave so you don't lose progress?

    This one is a bit suss. It's likely collecting data on what apps are running in the foreground, and possibly to detect if you have run any apps it has advertised.

    For example it might have TapJoy integrated, which displays ads for other apps which you must download and execute to get some kind of reward. Just my guess though.

    It turned on Google location services and wants to read your contacts, Google billing services and something about sharing with your Google friends, contacts and groups.
