  • these are shit btw.

they dont pass Xbox testing (and xbox has very low requirements) but they're fine as burner sticks and iso booters

    • Still not bad to have laying around for documents and reinstalling windows and stuff for just 2 bucks.

As the 2 previous guys said, don't trust your valuable data on these sticks. That said, they have a purpose and for $2 (or the 99c price I paid for lots during the HN deal) they are fine. I gave mine out for free delivering training to clients. Perfect for my needs.

        • I agree. I only have one left (my sneakernet travels only in 1D)

  • $2 suki suki

  • Good price, sh@t product! my two toshiba sticks(16gb and 4gb) have failed after 2 weeks.

agreed! try to open it up and u will see that it's not the controller fail but the chip came out!

contamination during manufacturing process, i saw rust …… wrong material maybe?

normally it's controller fail (mishandling of static)
but bad connection is not acceptable in eletronic manfacturing world

Harvey Norman have it on sale for $1 from time to time, worth holding out, if you don't urgently need them

  • out of stock :(

  • Could use a few more of these, though HN had them at the same price in their bargain bin last I looked. They're ideal for people you need to share files with via USB sticks, but who never give the stick back.

    • +1

If you just keep giving them more USB sticks no wonder they don't give them back! I find if you poke them in the eye with one of these however they will return all your stuff promptly ;-)

Was $12.95!?? May as well say was $49.99 back in 2008! 16GB sell for $8 in officeworks normal price…

  • Those thumb drives are extremely bad. constantly require re-formating just to get them to read for a little while.
    Would not buy another one.
If you get one that works, or can live with re-fortmatting them frequently, then more power to you, but if not, would not recommend one of these drives.

  • these are terrible. I bought a few from HN when they were $1, one of them has failed permanently, wont even get detected on windows/mac
