the cheapest is at $2399 :-(

    • In other word it less than 15% discount.

      • There might be manufacturer discounts if you bother to look into it. There were cashbacks on the samsungs in another thread a few days ago. But alot of comments said samsung tend to break. Thread was recommending mitsubishi heavy industries and there was one other one..

You get between $100-$300 cashback. I bought a Samsung 2.5HP one for $770 (pricematch) and will get $125 cashback from goodguys and $100 cashback from Samsung, making the end cost (before install) $545 (their store price is $899). So works out a 40% discount from their normal store price by my calculations….

    • Could you share receipt or how did you do price match and which model? This is an excellent price. Thanks

  • If interested in reading through the threads, this listing was posted the other day http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/120921

The Good Guys have a 30 day price guarantee.
If you find a cheaper price within 30 days of purhcsae, they will refund you 120% of the difference!

Wouldn't it be better to pay full price, then lodge a claim with the good guys straight after your purchase?
    Has anybody done this?

    • Considered it, but this has to go through head office and they will checking it against their terms in fine detail and they'll probably find some loophole to screw you over. Eg, if they sell it for $899 and give you $125 cashback, they may deem the price you pay as $774, which means they will give you a refund of the difference between $774 and $770 = $4 x 120% = $4.80. May not be the case, but it's more work and it's easier just to price match in store.

    • You'll also need to bring proof, like a catalogue. A screen shot print out of the dick Smith website isn't even good enough, they'll claim it's online only price and make excuses.
