Still looking to get the rMBP 13"! Megabuy has the model I want for $1999 (retail $2199). Tried to get Apple to price match as megabuy apparently has a BM store in QLD. Two associates from two different stores refused on the phone saying that they don't price match interstate stores even if they ship to NSW for free. Is this the usual Apple Store policy or are they misinformed?
Then going there rather than calling would be better, wouldn't it?
one of my friends manged to price match with MB in sydney store,
what he did, went to the store and showed how interesting he is to buy one of the MBPr and had nice chat with the staff then he said I would like to buy one but I found it cheaper else where and the staff said we will match it if its in Australia and authorized seller. showed him the website and he got it the same price as MB
Have you looked at Designwyse, from your profile I see you are in Sydney, they are in Victoria. I bought a 15"MBP antiglare for a very good price (previous model (delivey cost+$11.00)).
They currently have 13" also. I dare say most likely cheaper than the $1999.00.
They also have Applecare for less than 1/2 PRICE!
E-mail them, and try and get onto Daniel S. he's very helpful. However they are only open mon-fri.

Apple doesn't have a price match policy but if the sales staff like you enough they can get the manager to pricematch another store (even interstate) up to a discount of 10%
