[PSVITA] PSN & SEN (AUD) Muramasa Rebirth $36.95

50

Very interested in getting this as watching alot of youtube clips I'd say looks great on the vita.

A bargain if you can do without the bonuses from the limited edition http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/110456

Strangely there is no release date in Oz for the physical game but its now on PSN/SEN for a decent price with a download size 450MB.

  • Pretty sure it isn't on sale at all and this is its normal price. But yeah this is a must buy for Vita fans along with Dragons Crown. Show Vanillaware some love.

    • i asked ebgames they said they are not even sure when its coming but they have preorders for $69.95 thats not even for the limited edition???

this would be awesome to play the big screen. hope the Vita Tv will come here.

      • Another option if you want it on the big screen is to play the original Muramasa on the Wii (if you have one gathering dust somewhere). It's available for $15.16 (plus $2.00 postage) at Blockbuster - http://www.blockbuster.com.au/games/muramasa-the-demon-blade… . Certainly not as portable as the Vita version, but it'll fill the TV up OK.

        • i was thinking about that. is there any difference apart from graphics? as in are both the different stories or is the vita just a HD remix?

        • According to IGN it's basically a HD remix - http://au.ign.com/articles/2013/06/24/muramasa-rebirth-revie…

"If you played Muramasa: The Demon Blade on Wii, you’ll find an essentially identical product with Rebirth on PS Vita. The only differences are a new translation, enhanced button-mapping, and HD graphics."

  • Apparently there won't be a physical edition for us :(

    • well that sucks… hopefully not alot of people pre ordered it with ebgames.

    • I grabbed mine from play-asia months ago, $49 delivered and the extras are great quality/Hori

      • Good if u have a US psn

        • I have AU psn, whats the issue with buying the play-asia copy?

        • No problem unless you plan on buying extra DLC later (haven't seen any DLC yet and its been a while)

apparently 4 DLC packages "sometime soon".

hmmm i was tempted to get it due to needing a case and wanting the game. But not sure now.

        • Yeah I heard it was sometime soon 4 months ago when it released in the US (I planned on selling my copy when it did) but its been so long that I won't bother.

        • 7th of November for Japan.

      • did you get regular postage or EMS/FEDEX? if regular how long did it take close to the advised 21days?

        • I always go regular and it usually takes 2-3 weeks.

  • Hello, I enjoyed this game very much on the Wii and this remake got quite good reviews. However Dragon's Crown from the same developer is a better game in my opinion and is available at JB for $42 (haven't checked anywhere else).

It has the same style of artwork and similar gameplay but with local and network multiplayer. There is also a PS3 version available and there is cross platform play (not cross play, it just means you can use your save game on either platform but need to buy for both). I got EB to match JB so I could get a copy of the Artworks book which they are including with both versions of the game.

If you like Japanese style gameplay with beautiful artwork you can't go wrong with Muramasa or Dragon's Crown (or Odin Sphere on PS2).

    • yeah i got the promo from EBs for 45bucks or so..

      damn that sorceress!!

      • Just started up the PS3 version and there has been what looks like a siginifcant update (1.01) with lots of tweaks including the addition of cross-play apparently.

        • don't mind me…getting my cross-play and remote-play confused. No remote-play.
    • I dislike Dragon's Crown, I imported both of these games months ago and find Muramasa to be a much more enjoyable game. Dragon's Crown is boring, badly paced and a mess to figure out what's going on at times on the Vita's small screen.

  • Its a great game. I got it from the Japanese developer sale on psn US for about 22$.
