Cheapest Nintendo 3DS XL & Pokemon X/Y?

Does anyone know where I could buy the cheapest 3DS XL, preferably in Brisbane? It would be great if you could find a bargain to a limited edition 3DS XL as well. :)

Also, where is the cheapest price for Pokemon X/Y? Big W's sale has finished…so are there still any stores pricing their games at around $45?

    • nice will probs end up picking up X/Y then… finally

      • I started playing last night, couple of hours in and loving it. Caught 30 or so and finished the first gym. These people who complain about short game are a bit silly IMO. Don't rush through games ASAP if you don't want to finish them too quickly. Take your time and smell the digitak 3D roses.

  • Good guy does it for $44 dollars aswell =)

  • thanks guys!

@chux i've tried price matching but they give the poor piss excuse that each state's Target is different and they're not allowed to price match. thanks anyways ]:

  • I don't know about the console, but blockbuster is still selling Pokemon for under $44 http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/119922

  • went to ebgames said they couldnt price match because they only had 5 stock left what a load of bullshit

    • That is BS.

      • +1

Can't complain about piss poor BS excuses from any retailer for failing to price match what was originally an error.

The first guy to get a 3DS XL for $199 did so by flashing the target.com (USA) web site on his phone which advertises the $199 price. Good luck to anyone that managed to get a price match by showing a copy of his or subsequent receipts but no one should consider they have a right to receive it at the same price.

Most price match policies (if they even have one) generally refer to an "advertised price" and require it to be in stock and available at that price, and exclude clearance items negotiated deals, and lots of other stuff (and in the case of MYER's price match policy any price cheaper than they want to sell it for - but they don't even sell 3DS anymore).

Show the receipt at a store with a price match policy and if they call the other store to confirm (don't always do this but sometimes they do), the conversation might go like this…
        Customer: "Price match please"
Store: (Rings Other Store) "Do you have 3DS XL in stock? …and how much are you selling them for? …OK" (to customer) "sorry can't price match it, their current 3DS XL price is actually $249".
Customer: "What? What a piss poor BS excuse"

The receipt might a useful tool in negotiating your own deal knowing someone else has got it for that price, but you can't expect an automatic price match on that basis.

Still looking for that really good deal on a pair of 3DS XL's myself.

        • sorry i didnt make it clear i went to eb games for pokemon y and they said they only had 5 copies left and did not even look at big w's catalgoue
