I bought a similar spec. Dell a few weeks ago for $1049. so I don't think this is a great bargain.

17r s.e. 2k normally?? never used to be that much. :S

    • yeah, lol, bought same/similar specced machine brand new, not refurbished from Outlet site for $799, when the main site was selling them for $1300. Never seen these same specs anywhere near $2000

    • Not sure what the normal price is, but did see the same $1349 ($650 off) 17R SE deal last weekend.

    • This one has 3D Capable screen and 2x1TB drives.

      • yes, mine for $799 was 1TB and only FHD not 3D, but is it a bargain at $1349, imo no way.

While different specs, check out the Dell Outlet site for real bargains, most of the 15" laptops listed have a touch screen. http://www1.ap.dell.com/content/topics/segtopic.aspx/product…

  • I'm using an Inspiron 15R SE as my daily driver and I can guarantee I didn't pay that much for it!
EDIT: Also, if you buy a 15R SE, don't use Dell's drivers. Download them from the manufacturers (especially the AMD driver). You may have to turn off Windows Automatic Driver downloads, as it might replace it with Dell's again.

I purchased a 17R SE over a year ago and paid just over $1k. So definitely not a good deal.

  • Why not get a refurb and add some extra warranty on that bad boy? :P
Honestly guys, no matter which section I pick there's always an awesome deal.
